Ninja Gaiden Shadow [GB] – it’s a mix of Ninja Gaiden and Kage and it’s hard to identify the composers. But we’ll point out from where some tracks were taken:

Intro – Intro from NG II
Stage 3 – NG, 18. Act 4-2
Stage 5 – NG III, 15. Act 4-1 ~ 7-1
Boss – NG, Boss
Final Boss (Garuda) – Kage, Final Boss
Others are new compositions or greatly arranged tracks from Kage.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Developers removed credits tracks (A Long Way to Go and Credits) in NG II and NG III.
Act 4-2 ~ 7-3 was replaced by Act 2-1 ~ 7-2 in NG III. Also there is new boss music was composed and final boss music was extended.

I didn’t add Arcade rip because it is in Ninja Ryukenden -G.S.M. TECMO 1- (1989). Arcade game is cool, but music is just "not bad" for me.
I can’t help ripping music from PC ports( And I didn’t listen to PC versions’ music.

It is sad that sooo great music from Ninja Gaiden Series wasn’t ripped properly and compiled before!..

Oh fuck yes. When I was kid,playing through Ninja Ryukenden III was kind of a daily ritual for me. =) Never really understood all the hate that the game was getting.

And yes,I am also in love with the idea of technoninjas. Which is why I’m playing the fuck out of Ninja Blade right now. QTEs aside,the moment I saw the cover I knew I was going to love the game:

A modern-day ninja missile-surfing above a megalopolis nightscape? Man,you don’t need to say anything else – I’m fucking there.

Although while NGIII certainly kicked it off for me,Shinobi 3 was probably what cemented the overall concept in my mind. Shinobi’s particular blend of traditional Japanese elements and modern day/sci-fi shit struck a pretty much perfect balance for me.
