Yasuko to Kenji was a 2008 TV dramedy based on a popular Japanese manga series. The plot is basically this: Since the death of their parents, Oki Yasuko, a high-school student, has been living with her older brother Kenji, once the leader of a biker gang. One day in school Yasuko falls in love with Tsubaki (not to be confused with Chewbacca), but chaos develops when it’s revealed that Tsubaki’s sister had a romantic fling with Kenji.

For this score Oshima has supplied her usual potpourri: piano ballads, a little Gershwin, a sprinkling of pop-rock. 22 tracks totaling 48 minutes.
