Grant Kirkhope – Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012) [FLAC|MP3] [Gamerip]

I really wanted this soundtrack personally as Grant Kirkhope is one of my favourite composers. He composed the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack! And all the other awesome Rareware soundtracks for the equally awesome Rareware games! I think I’ll get Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning just for the music. 🙂

This is just a preliminary rip, much like my Skyrim and Zelda: Skyward Sword rips. All of the tracks have their original names (I haven’t played the game so I can’t come up with any names) so you can identify them, but don’t expect any beautiful names. The files aren’t tagged because I didn’t feel like tagging a rip when I don’t have any good naming. There are 229 audio files. All of the looping tracks are in it as intro+loop files (I left them in for those who like to listen to it looping, like I often do) and CD versions (for a better listening experience). The files are exactly how they were in the game (converted to flac and mp3 of course). As soon as the game is out, feel free to use this rip to make a better, organized and tagged rip. I don’t think I will, as most of you will be faster anyway. 🙂

Is this a 360 or PS3 demo rip? The PC version i did had only 160 kbps mp3 files.

Dear god I just spent 6 hours trying to find online how to make a 360 gamerip just for this game. If this indeed is a gamerip from the full game then thank you very much:)

This is the full game and it’s the 360 release (high-quality XMA, no MP3 involved). 🙂
Surprisingly enough, the CD versions of all the looping tracks were also in the game’s files, so apart from the filenames, this gamerip practically contains the official soundtrack as well. 🙂
I’m uploading the FLAC version now. ^^

I always saw Grant K as a successor to David Wise.. Probably because BK was that for DKC.

Mine will come with the game (I ordered the special edition); anyways, it’s good to have this to play with until it does.

Whoever’s bloody idea it was to use the looped tracks with fadeout on the album instead of the actual CD versions of the cues, needs a right smack in the mouth.

Definitely. I think some DLC soundtracks are already in the first post’s soundtrack but I’m looking into the actual DLC files at the moment. I’ll upload what I find. 🙂

EDIT -> I added the DLC soundtracks to the first post! They’re in the same format as the original rip: not named or tagged. Not looped either – just a pure conversion of the original game’s files. Feel free to use, name and loop these tracks for your own compilations. 🙂

He left Rare and worked with 38 Studios for a while, then with Zynga, but I don’t really know what he does now. He’s involved with a team of ex-Rare members to make a spiritual successor to Banjo-Tooie though. 🙂
