I recently got a technology upgrade and can finally rip WiiWare music. Please let me know if I’ve missed any tracks. Enjoy 😛

Oh my gosh yes! I literally just started replaying this game a couple weeks ago and kept thinking how nice this ost was and hating that I couldn’t find anything on the web!

Basically I love you! 😀

Inline or sequenced rip?
I’m not sure I understand what you mean?

I’m not sure I understand what you mean?

taking the audio out from the Wii and into the line-in on a sound card. and it sure doesn’t sound like this is what you did… IIRC the problem with getting music from this game is that there was no sound test and a line-in recording would have included engine noise. furthermore, the music is in a sequenced format rather than streamed audio, so couldn’t just be ripped from the disc and played without something to interpret it. i don’t think there is any player for wii sequences right now.

so i am guessing you did it by some other method… muted samples? forced song selects?

in any case, it’s awesome to finally see a rip of this! been waiting for a while. the composer is Daisuke Shiiba, if you wanna update your MP3 artist info for last.fm and whatnot. he has arranged some of Soyo Oka and Akito Nakatsuka’s songs from the earlier NES and FDS versions of Excitebike here too, but I guess they don’t necessarily need crediting (Soyo Oka doesn’t even get mentioned in the credits, for shame.)

thanks very much!

Wow, guess I’m still a noob at this lol. Let me break it down for y’all as simply as possible. I plugged my wii’s video into my second monitor and had a converter that sends the audio to my laptop, disabled the mic on my built-in webcam, recorded line-in on WavePad (audacity works too) and cropped/edited volume. There’s actually a setting in Excitebike: World Rally’s option menu that allows you to turn down the volume of either sound effects or music so i just sent the SFX meter to the depths! ;D

The process was actually pretty simple. The hardest part was getting the right cord to plug the wii’s audio into my laptop’s mic jack.

ohhh duh, figures it’d have some music-SFX balancing option. convenient 🙂 and it turned out ok, even if using a microphone port. well, thanks again!

The song that plays at 2:35 is in the .zip. It’s called Race Results 🙂 If there’s another version, I didn’t see it in the YouTube video

I can’t heat it anywhere in that track. Its the rendition of the 1st place theme you hear on Excitebike for NES.

As requested by WirelessFatPipe, I’ve recently ripped the Race Results that plays in the single player mode. The soundtrack is now up on MediaFire 🙂

Are the compositons same with old Excitebilke (NES) or new?

TaJ Man

Can’t say for sure cause I haven’t played Excitebike (NES) in a number of years, but I believe only a few tracks are remixed from the original.
