Be happy he doesn’t have the tools to make a lossless rip, the filesize would be astronomic 😉
Big respect for the time you must have spent on this.
I’ll grab it with pleasure.
A billion thanks for this
No kidding right? A FLAC version of this colossal rip collection would be flabbergasting. Luckily, I am not as picky as some avid music collectors/listeners are when it comes to VBR/lossy and lossless audio files.

@TOMANDANDY:
Hey TOMANDANDY, I haven’t gotten around to listening to, what is presumably, your monumental work done on the Red Dead Redemption game rip. Once I have, I will post up my comments and reviews.
So i hope you Enjoy this!

The music seems to be stored in lossless on the PS3 version. There’s at least no cut-off visible in the spectrals.
Interesting.
How far have you come then?
Are you making the same amount of tracks that i did or less?

I’m still renovating my home and don’t have time. That’s just what I discovered when I did those few samples I posted back in the other thread. Don’t know how long my rip will be. And I haven’t had the time to listen to your version yet.
Does anybody have the iTunes version of the score and can send me the booklet? I need some more infos on the music than there is in the game’s credits. I need it for my own booklet artwork.

I’ll looked through the iTunes Phurcase page but there is nothing really of interest there.
I may have misunderstood your last post, i’m not a 100% when it comes to english. lol
Both links are currently working for me. Try to clear the cache and refresh the page.
Thank you for the Rep Leon! Appreciated it!

Well This is a Line-in rip so me having to PLAY through the entier game is hard as it is so there might be stuff that have been left out.
Sorry about that.
But no one else seems to care to rip this game, though they say they can’t because the can’t crack the Game’s Code.
Oh well i did my best 🙂
Thanks for the review bro!
Edit – Btw that video "Tesoro Azul – Gang Hideout (Single Player) – Red Dead Redemption"
Is recorded i believe because i remember that place, i did mission AND Gang Hideout at that ruin in mexico, so that should be in there 🙂
When you buy a score in iTunes, you often get the booklet as PDF included. The booklet includes special informations that may not be included in the credit sequence of the game, like "The composers wish to thank…"
Oh i see, well i don’t have the money to buy the iTunes Version Atm, sorry mate but you will find alot of info about the soundtrack on Wikipedia.
Try that.
My two cents about this:
The game uses parts of a cue that are splitted up. Most cues also have different stems – layers so to speak, that are changing during gameplay. Also, TOMANDANDY probably recorded some parts again or cleaned up the parts where he died in the game, that were included in the previous release.

That is Correct.
This time around i did not die as you can hear there is no "game over" tunes in the middle of the song.
And every track is pretty much cleaned more up and Edited out the looooong loops that would only make you switch to next song.
I did a much better job on this rip than i did on the Last Rip.
@FunnyML, did you listen to it yet?
No one has reviewed it yet 🙁

^^ Nice One, thanks for your work!!
Is there a way to tag the files correctly? I want to add them to iTunes but they all have names like "12" oder "123" ..?
Edit: And speaking of it, what is the best way to add the files to iTunes? converting them to mp3 mit 320kbit sounds like a step backward..

If you’v read the red text above you’d seen that OGG files can’t have the Info Edited like the MP3’s Can.
Therefor they have random Numbers.

Thanks for that, I kept the newer ones anyway.
I don’t know if TOMANDANDY (Who adopt one persona!) are reading but I loved the ambience themes again and definitely sounded cleaner than before, with the exception of I think it was Tall Trees V2, which was pretty loud in comparison. Unfortunately I didn’t go through the rest of the themes as I felt I had most of what I wanted from the previous rip, except the multiplayer themes which were great, and the final mission, bonus mission themes which were clean too and I’m guessing the rest were just as good. Thanks very much but I don’t want to spend any more time sorting through the music, just listening 🙂

I am Reading Eggsss 🙂
And THANK YOU For saying so!
Means alot! 🙂
And yeah The Tall Trees v2 is actually the same theme from the first release only with the noise removed. so it turned out loud as tits!
But you should listen to the rest of the themes, they are clean and this time around there is alot more Mexico Theme’s which i love personally.
So many great Themes and cues.
I’m glad you like it Eggsss 🙂
However there are at least two things that are worth mentioning. While listening to it on my mp3 i can hear a very silent "piep" sound through all tracks. This can get rather annoying.
You can also hear from time to time what sounds like someone walking through the pause menu.
Most notable: Track 20. Redemption in the Sand. At 2:00. Maybe your controller lost the connection? =D

I’m am sorry for that Noise, however this game is "so far" un-rippable and un-exstractable by the others on this forum, i just did this Line-In RIP because i’m a big fan of it.
So the quality is not perfect, but however Way better than my older Release of my rip.
Anyways i’m glad you like it, it’s better than nothing since they never released the complete score them selves.
I’m glad to hear that!
Thank you kindly!

Great new FunnyML!
Really looking forward to your great quality rip!
I understand that you may not have the time and moxie to play through 58 missions and travel from place to place to rip each track but it’ll have to do 😀
As for the OST in FLAC i alreddy got it, but thank you!
We add password to our Rar’s because the place we upload to keeps checking the files, and they delete them.
Adding passwords prevents this from happening most of the time 🙂
And thank you for saaying so.

OGG files can be tagged properly with tools like MP3tag.

I just listened to some of your tracks. This is what I noticed after playing those two respective chapters (and recording the music myself of course):
Ride To Fort Mercer
The cue played here runs approximately 4:39 min, before it is looped again. Your version (runtime 3:51 min) seems to be much shorter. Also, two versions of this cue can be heard, a kind of quiet ambient one and a more orchestral version with a new layer mixed in, that is present on your rip.
Here are the cues as I encountered them in the game:
DOWNLOAD | multiupload.com (http://www.multiupload.com/6MJK17F4HA)
Bonnie’s Tour
Basically the same thing. Your version is shorter. And there are two versions of it in the game (at least at that point in the story).
Night Patrol
This is the "Bonnie’s Tour" cue, just with new layers mixed in, some layers left out, resulting in three new mixes. So we have 5 different variations of the same cue by now. And again, your version is just an outtake of it, considering the length.
A small correction: I once stated the music is lossless in the game. Just had a quick look and it seems to be lossy.

I was not aware of MP3tag at the time, again sorry for that.
I think i was relying on the standard Windows Tools.
Ride To Fort Mercer can also be heard in the Nigh Version of Armadillo Ambiance.
Only more relaxed version.
Bonnie’s Tour i think is because maybe i played faster than you?
I did try to wait the mission out but it’s not always that easy because you have to follow Bonnie and stuff.
Also, "Riding to Armadillo" Turned out bad for me, so i was hoping you could Record that one for me and add it into your Release.
it’s the one where you drive Bonnie to Armadillo to get Medicine close to the mission’s mentioned above, it has it own special Theme, so be sure to listen to my version so you know what you’re looking for, also try and make it extended before it loops 🙂
Thank you! Can’t wait for your Rip man.

You don’t 😉 You can step from your horse and wait and the game won’t punish you.

Will have a look at it after work. Can’t wait to rip LA Noire,, that’s for sure 😉

Let’s Hope LA Noire isn’t that heavly decrpyted, but it’s most likely is.
But yeah 😀
I think i will give up the Line-In Ripping Method since people don’t like it because of the noise in my tracks.
So i will leave it to others.
So i will leave it to others.
My version isn’t better, it’s lossy and the music is so quiet I had to amplify the whole thing, resulting in noise. The only thing I don’t like about your rip is, that the tracks seem to be incomplete and different versions of the same cue have different names. I am not sure if I will continue this rip anyway – there are thousands of cues, the quality is average, the cues are looped (which I hate), there is almost no indication which cue is played where and under what circumstances and it’s almost impossible to get a clean rip without the interface sounds. Even James Bond – Bloodstone should be easier than that. In addition, I’m confident someone will do an unpacker for the game anyway.
Oh i see, well i think it’s sad that you will end your Rip.
I will looking forward to it.
However i srly doubt that anyone will unpack this game.
I’v tried for ages now and it’s been over a year and no one has made anything yet.
Even hackers can do that in just a few days or less!
So it’s pretty much dead, seeing as only a few where interested in the Score, while other was totally going for the Normal Songs in the game.
I’v tried for ages now and it’s been over a year and no one has made anything yet.
Look at Alone In The Dark, this game has been cracked now and when did it came out? 2008? And Rockstar games are much more popular, especially if they use the format in upcoming games as well. I’m very confident someone will figure out the format and how to unpack it.
Hope this helps 😉

Wait, is there a complete rip of Undead Nightmare too??? I would love this; the crazy Mexico horn music is great!
Downloaded this rip: awesome, awesome work! I converted it to mp3 for itunes and I can’t wait to synch it on my ipod! Thanks! I love this game and I adore the music!
Hope this helps 😉
I preordered L.A. Noire and will check it out. If it’s easier than Red Dead Redemption, I’ll make a rip.
I also pre-ordered it!
I will probably make a rip when i’m done enjoying it.
Thanks for the heads up!

Do you know if Rockstar leaked who will be the composer for this, by the way? I heard rumours it would be Pedro Bromfman.
I heard that Clint Mansell will be composing this game (as well as Mass Effect 3)
But nothing is for sure as of yet.
I have not found any solid source so i don’t know.
LA Noire will be composed by Andrew Hale and a few other guests (including Woody Jackson).
Great work Tom on your rip, line-in recording can be a very tedious job.
Still, I’d like to mention that one of the main ambience themes is missing from your rip. It’s the one that plays once in a while between Hennigan’s Stead and Cholla Spring. It’s a richer variation of what you call the Thieves Landing theme. It adds many layers to it, with piano, violin and synth pads.
There’s also a shorter and dramatic variation which is used as the "suicide theme" (the theme you hear when meeting desperate people in the wild). You don’t hear it very often though, might be hard to capture it.

Thank you, I just got a mail from one of the orchestrators who confirmed the composer.

Yes Kornflaskes.
This song can be heard in the track called: "Cleaning Out Pike’s Hills" a bit late out to the track tho, so feel free to fast forward to 5:40.
(a longer version may be in other tracks)

Edit: In my older version of this rip you can find a 7 min long version of this song called: "Let’s fight for Mexico!"
it’s the full version so there is your song. it can be found in this thread: Thread 85127

There pretty much the same as the chase missions so i didn’t bother with it.
It Was Worth It.
Higly Recommended, pure gold.
which tracks are missing?
which tracks are missing?
That i do not know, how would i know? i have no "complete official list" of all the music that is in RDR.
So i just named the tracks after the mission, there Might be some ambient theme that i’v missed. that’s all i guess.
It’s fucking criminal to see all of this hard work disappear off the internet.
The link doesn’t work anymore.
Is there any way you could upload this rip again ?
I’ve been looking to ear it, and as much of you, I think the official ost only offer a glimpse of this wonderful music.

In the meantime feel free to grab my rip I just re uploaded.

Thank you… But Xippy? C`mon! I know that MF is a drag, but you can allways use 4shared. They are not deleting as much as MF, and their speed is great.
Hmm, I don’t see the problem with Zippyshare? What’s wrong with it I get great speeds from there. I am actually working on a 2nd rip and there is so much more music than my previous rip it’s amazing, should have it done in a few days, and I’ll use 4shared this time I suppose.
Hope to hear back from you.
Hope to hear back from you.
I asked for this reupload long ago, so I made my own complete rip which contains MUCH more music. Please check this link on FFSHRINE if you want Red Dead music.

Hey Roncoallstar thanks for that reply. I found a 268 track album off of youtube which was put on a share by a guy named Saitek1911. He created a megashare for it. But I will look into yours still to see if it is different and I will DEF be downloading the Undead Nightmare one from you! Great work anyway and devotion to such a great game and soundtrack and if you are playing on xbox still (I play often when I am not studying) add me and I will join your posse. GT: Edemardil
No offense to that guy, but that rip is terrible and that is one of the reasons I did it myself. The quality of my rip is much higher, so I would download my rip if you like the music that much. Also I have mostly full tracks and his rip contains half the track usually.
