i’m also way excited to see the toy story 3 one. the official soundtrack leaves something to be desired.

The Monsters Inc mentioned above is a FYC (For Your Consideration) CD. It is complete but it is not Cast and Crew (there is no C&C for Monsters Inc, there is no need as the FYC is complete)

Cars also had a FYC. I need to check if it is complete. Again I don’t think there is a C&C for Cars but I may be wrong
Atlantis FYC is also excellent and contains more music than the orignal release

there wasnt any cover art with that, meet the robinsons, and the incredibles. ive added alternatives that look a little different than the normal soundtrack (for keeping it straight in my library) but arent the real cast and crew covers. if there is anyone that has those, i’d love a scan.

i guess that assumes there is cover art for them, which i dont know about.

thats what i was afraid of…

so i would assume that finding nemo doesnt have any cover art either, as the rest of hte scans were there.

ive put links to alternate versions of the covers, for people that want to keep the original soundtrack and the cast and crew soundtrack visually separate. they arent the ‘real’ ones, but they will look different in your library, and much better than the ‘missing art’ icon.

Anyone have WALL-E by Thomas Newman, preferably in FLAC?

if a better-quality version surfaces, we can put links to both, depending on what people want.

i cant find any list of confirmed cast and crew cds, so i just go by what ive found on the net.

i know there is a toy story 3 cd (see link in first post), but the author of the blog has refused to rip it.

yea i know. Im asking how it became available if the score wasn’t a nominee in the best score category. I did notice it was a nominee in best song category, which is probably how the extended scores became available? If So maybe there is hope for more of the scores from toy story 3, because it is a candidate for best song with we belong together. Maybe?

The clue is in the description. "Cast and Crew". They’re specifically not intended for the likes of me or you.

The masses DON’T care about orchestral and DO just want happy songs. Speaking as a score fan, I have learned to accept that the business of music publishing (and they’re aren’t doing this as a charity,) is what the masses want and not what a comparatively fringe market wants. Even ‘successful’ score albums generally sell a fraction of their song equivalents. And two discs? I’d love to hear it, but I am not the market and there will never be enough of me to justify a large release.

I found a track online from Toy Story 2 thats not included in the CD. Its just the drums that play in the background when Utility Belt Buzz Lightyear thinks the real Buzz is trying to escape Al’s Toy Barn. If anybody wants it, I’ll be more than happy to upload it. Its only a 128kbps mp3 though.

which is terriblly unfortunate. all they need to do is make a flac copy available with a nice scan of the cover for like $5. almost no cost of materiels/manpower, and they would sell decently. assuming disney still owns the rights (which i cant see them selling), it should be no problem.

ah well. maybe some day :'(

It looks like the person that is selling this is the same one that bought it for $180 previously. Essentially they purchased it, opened it, ripped it and are selling it again with the buy it now option for $100 more than they bought it for. I wonder if somebody else will buy it and do the same thing.

We will just have to hope everything will work in out somehow.

But the seller sold also "THE DARK KNIGHT – Zimmer & Newton Howard 59 tracks RARE" ~$12 or "SECRETARIAT – Nick Glennie-Smith 31 tracks – RARE" for over $340 .. maybe it’s real lossless?

Does ‘cast and crew’ mean a complete score put together for all the cast from the film, and the Pixar crew?

Is the Finding Nemo one 51 tracks? Also, I’ve heard of a complete score to Monsters, Inc. – 64 tracks. Will update you on that one…

i had a file for Incredibles @ 320 a while back. Never kept it, but did listen once, it had pretty good sound.

I had a 320 version as well. Turned out it was transcoded from the 128. I’m not saying you couldn’t have had a legit 320 version…just saying there was definitely a fake floating around. 🙂

Yeah I bought this one. Still figuring out what the differences are between this and the OST- it contains roughly the same amount of material but not the same material as the OST.

Whoa, man! Don’t give anything away about the film please!! 🙂 It ain’t come out here yet! I’m hopefully gonna see it the first week it’s out! But OSTs generally don’t ever seem to release anything NEAR the complete score to a film. The tracks of score are nearly ALWAYS either cut, spliced, and/or compiled… I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!! (to see the film, that is!)

And don’t forget that UP is to Disney the only academy winner for original music score since Alan Menken ‘Pocahontas’, but also and in fact the most important thing of all, is that this is the premier release of UP on CD.

Everything makes senses now. But I’m still amazed since there’s a huge quantity of material published from "minor" films, and this, a sure blockbuster, with one of the most famous composers nowadays, and the support of 2 mayor companies, didn’t got a real release until now!

Meet The Robinsons Complete Score link doesn’t work anymore…

i agree. ~15 sec tracks on osts always annoy me. not enough time to get into the feeling of the track. but on the other hand, i dont like 6-7 minute tracks that are 2-3 cues tacked together, with silence inbetween and everything (*cough* halo osts *cough*). 2-3 min cues are a good minimum size

The amount of people in this thread expecting people to just pay out $200 on eBay, and then upload in FLAC for nothing, is comical… if say 10 people REALLY wanted the Toy Story 2 C&C album, split the cost between you and upload. Simple enough.?

wow i really agree! It is an awesome score to an awesome film!!! But the C&C is not complete. It is lacking a few bits and also it is lacking "Cranking Up The Heat" completely!!! How weird is that! I’m adding the songs and the missing track to make my unofficial Complete Soundtrack.

i really really appreciate the lossless, as well as the cars 2. the speed that the cds get release after the movie is speeding up, so hopefully the new movies will be even faster. 🙂

Yeah, He knows. I hope theres a C&C for Toy Story! Thats my favorite score out of the whole trilogy! If theres no C&C then there must be at least am acadamy promo. I hope we can find one soon!

I got the Cars 2 C&C as soon as it became available and I’ve put together the Complete Soundtrack which is the OST + C&C. So I’ve added stuff like the songs and the cue "Cranking Up The Heat" from the OST to the C&C and made the Complete Soundtrack. I’m working on some covers, as the covers Piano put with his download were the worst covers anyone could have possibly made for it! The back cover was Lightning McQueen from the Cars Toon "Tokyo Mater", and the inside front was a poster from Cars 1! He didn’t even bother taking off the logo for Cars 1! But the Cars 2 C&C isn’t complete, as it’s missing "Cranking up The Heat", and the actual track which should be called "Mater the Waiter", and the cue when Finn and Holley meet at the party for the first time, among others. Ah well. I’ll rest assured that I have the most complete available anywhere, except maybe Giacchino’s office… 😛 I’ll upload when I’m done!

About custom artwork, I’ve just started doing that more regularly now, and I’ve found that all the programs that are designed for making custom artwork are pretty much rubbish, frankly. The best way (the way I do it) is to copy a back cover and edit it so that it turns into the cover you’re making… if that makes any sense at all… Like what I’m doing with the Cars 2 [Complete Soundtrack], I’m using a custom cover for the Ratatouille C&C as a template:

Hey looks great! I personally would look on the original covers and see if it says whether or not the C&C is complete, and if it does, I would just put "Complete Motion Picture Soundtrack" along the top… not "Cast and Crew"… but there again, I’m a huge perfectionist… 😛

All I have done is combine the OST and C&C in chronological order as heard in the film to make it the Complete Soundtrack not just score. I just means that you don’t have to switch CDs all the time…

from what i understand, they only submitted that one song for an academy award. thats why the C&C was such a big deal, because with the digtial release, it was only possible to get lossless score/soundtrack from the C&C.

ive got a 38 track flac version of wall-e, but i’m not sure if it was from a promo, soundtrack, or C&C. its missing a few files (i only have 36 of the tracks) and i dont even know if it is ‘real’ flac.

Little bit confused here… are you saying there is more score on this release than on the C&C?

Yes, I knew the C&Cs weren’t complete… There are actually a couple of whole cues missing from the Cars 2 C&C… 🙁 Why not release the whole score to a movie?! If they label it as ‘Complete’, why is it seemingly impossible to simply include all the score written for the movie?? Can it really be THAT hard?? Rrrrrrr. Really annoys me! 😀

For Nemo, I’ve also included "Beyond the Sea" and for Monster’s Inc, I threw in tracks 1, 2, 23, 24, & 25 from the commercial album because they are apparently different from what’s on the promo (Source (http://chrono-score.blogspot.com/2011/05/monsters-inc.html)). Cast & Crew material is in its own folder in both cases.

Hey, and welcome, as I see you’re fairly new here. 🙂

I have the C&C for Up, as do some others here. A lot of the links on the first page of this thread are dead because they were uploaded on MegaUpload, which has since been shut down for annoying copyright reasons. I haven’t heard of a ‘Complete Score’ for Up, only the OST, FYC, and C&C. The C&C is 99.99% complete, but here (Thread 119867) is a link to the (I think) 100% complete score, put together from the C&C and FYC. Hope this helps. If you want the original C&C, I have it in mp3.

wow! i have 3 official soundtracks (3 languages, 2 have 14 track, 1 has 16 tracks), the 27 track promo, and the 34 track one referenced in this page, but i have not learned of the 67 track before. i think the 34 track is a combined the promo and official soundtrack, but i am not certain.

Finding the complete score is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. My usual go-to source rutracker.org doesn’t even have it. It’s my alternate to when the Shrine doesn’t have something.

I just prefer lossless, some 320k you could definitely tell that it doesn’t sound good.

There’s often a very audible difference between mp3s at 128 and mp3s at 320 kbps. The difference between 320 mp3s and FLAC is not usually as dramatic, but I still prefer lossless, especially if I’m going to be editing.

I’ll try to re-up some of those, and we’ll see if we can get zera to update the first post…

Just to inform you guys, it’s not the C&C, but the FYC labeled as the C&C because the track list for the Brave score is the same as the C&C. So if it comes with cover scans, it will be the dark green FYC covers, and it won’t include the La Luna score by Mr. Giacchino. Just thought I’d clear that up. 🙂

I downloaded this a while back, and I can’t remember who the original uploader was. However, I have made some changes:
I’ve re-ordered the entire tracklist and renamed a couple of tracks so that it is now completely chronological to the film, and the tracks retain their original names.
Some of the tracks have evidently been taken off the OST, as there is still the little extra "FX" stuff at the beginning and/or end of some of the tracks which Thomas Newman clearly decided he wanted put in, probably for silly artistic reasons – I don’t know. ANYWAY the point is, there is nothing ripped from the DVD here – it is all legit stuff. I have labeled it as the complete score, because it is probably the most complete we’ll get. It is still missing a couple of cues, however, which I have listed here (fictitious names of course):

I don’t have twitter – can someone who does ask John about a Cars C&C?? Please?!

I wrote a letter to John Lasseter yesterday and posted it to the US (Emeryville, CA, to be exact) first class this morning. I asked him about the Cars soundtrack, told him I knew about the C&C CDs, and asked if there had ever been a Cars C&C. I also requested a complete score release.

A bit bold and extreme, I know, but, hey, what else can we do?? The worst that can happen is that he’ll either never see the letter, or he’ll ignore it. But I doubt he’d totally ignore it. I’m expecting some sort of reply, but what it’ll be is a mystery at present… so I’ll keep you all updated. 🙂

In reply to your comment before it was edited… there are custom designed covers for some of these scores out there (I’ve attempted a couple myself…) but you’d need to have a good look on Google Images… or just ask here. Like you did. Before you edited the comment. 🙂

I downloaded the bug’s life C&C ages ago from a site that is dead now, but then my hard drive crashed and I lost it. Foxtown has kindly just sent his to me – it is the official C&C, complete with the picture-disc cover scans (like the Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and Incredibles C&Cs).
I suggested to him to send it to you to add to the first page here, but I haven’t heard back from him. I can upload it and give you the link. It’s @320. That way it is the real C&C. And the cover scans are excellent quality!

That’s because it’s a picture-disc C&C, like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille. For example, where Heimlich is on the bug’s life disc, Bloat is on the C&C disc for Finding Nemo.
I agree, though, I prefer proper cover art!

Out of curiosity I just looked up the definition of ‘wrap’ party on Wikipedia and here’s what they say:

Wrap is a phrase used by the director in the early days of the film industry to signal the end of filming. Nowadays, the call is more commonly "that’s a wrap!"

Filmmakers have used this phrase since the 1920s when the filming is done and it needs to go into post-production.

After principal photography is concluded, it is traditional to hold a wrap party, a party organized for the cast and crew of a film to celebrate the end of principal photography. This marks the end of the actors’ collaboration (save from possible dubbing or pick-ups) on the film. They may be called in to promote the film when it is released.

Hi James! Prep and Landing is a very cool Christmas special that Disney Feature Animation made for ABC like 3 years ago. It’s produced by John Lasseter. Actually, they’ve made two twenty-minutes long specials and a couple of mini-shorts. If you like Disney and Pixar check them out. They are hilarious! (They are on DVD and, I believe that at some point you could watch them for free on Disney.com). You’ll love them!

Wow! That’s only the second one I’ve ever seen for Finding Nemo! But $250… <big sigh>

I am not sure, which is why I posted it. Sometimes, they include the scores from the short films…

Really, all I want are the extra "LA LUNA" tracks that were included at the end of the Brave C&C CD (so not the FYC CD).

Does ANYONE have those "La Luna" tracks? Don’t care if it’s mp3 or whatever format… would love to hear them.

If so, any chance of someone re-uploading just those La Luna tracks somewhere? That would be fantastic, since they can’t be found anywhere else!! :-()

I remember back at the end of the 80’s buying a few scores by the European composer who was starting to make a little noise in Hollywood. His name was Hans Zimmer. Maybe you’ve heard of him. I had gotten K2, Green Card, and, I think, Regarding Henry. I really liked all of them, despite the fact that these were largely synthesized scores. Then Backdraft came out. It was the first score that I knew of where he had the opportunity to incorporate large sections of actual symphonic music. As soon as I heard it I knew "this guy’s going to be big." I felt the exact same thing when I heard the score for The Incredibles. I had a lot of Giacchino’s game scores, but when I heard his work on The Incredibles I knew: this guy’s bound for greatness. I bought an FYC score of The Incredibles several years back off of ebay and was disappointed that it only contained about twenty seconds of music not on the actual score release, so that’s probably why I’m so excited to finally hear a more complete version of the score. Finally.

I hope that I’ll have some stuff to contribute to this site (I’m brand new here) – I’ve got my fair share of promo scores and whatnot – but I want to comb the boards first so I don’t share stuff that’s already here. It’s nice to find a place where there are other people who love this stuff as much as I do – it’s not something most people I know have any interest in. Their loss, haha. Anyway, thanks again for all the fantastic scores listed on this thread.

There’s always hoping! If only we knew if there was a C&C for Cars or not! Not knowing is killing me! Why wouldn’t there be? There were at least four C&Cs before Cars, and one for every film afterwards so far. It seems strange that we know absolutely nothing, just like WALL-E. Apparently there was a C&C for WALL-E, but no-one’s ever even seen it, let alone got it!

Anyway, what do you think of the score to Planes? As I said, I am perfectly happy to listen to it having not seen the film yet, as it’s so epic! This is only the second score that I’ve ever listened to without seeing the film – the other one being Alvin and the Chipmunks by Christopher Lennertz.

I’m sure Giacchino’s score will be awesome, but I wonder why Toy-Story-Legend Newman wasn’t chosen. Some of his score for Toy Story 3 was pretty spine-tingly creepy…

Also, just occurred to me… Giacchino’s score to Day and Night was on the TS3 C&C, and his score to La Luna was on the Brave C&C… why wasn’t Hawaiian Vacation on the Cars 2 C&C?

The score to La Luna was released on the Brave C&C, but as yet, no one here has it. They will one day, I’m sure, we just have to be patient! 🙂

Nothing has turned up for Monsters, Inc. (2001) besides the complete FYC. After that, they have all had complete C&Cs except Cars (2006). No one has found the WALL-E (2008) C&C, yet, but the director, Andrew Stanton, has confirmed that there was one. All we have is a complete score from somewhere, maybe an FYC, maybe the Recording Sessions.

Ps: when I downloaded "A Bug’s Life C&C" I noticed that it contains 25 tracks, but I’ve got this backcover where it can be seen that there are 29 tracks (I know, its a bit difficult to see…). I downloaded it months ago from Google (when I was in searching of the regular soundtrack) and I don’t remember where I found it… Do you think it’s a fake or not? It may be some disc from a foreign country (diffrerent from the original US)?

It seems that the "missing" tracks are 4:

2. Ditch Dot
6. ? trial
14. Ant band
18. The plan

and then (I don’t know if some of these tracks are splitted into other ones or renamed):

– track 12 "Return to Colony" is missing in C&C but present in the regular OST (track 10)
– track 24 "Ants Fight Back" is missing in C&C but present in the regular OST (track 18)
– track 28 "A Bug’s Life Suite" is missing in C&C but present in the regular OST (track 20)
– track 9 "The City / Flik’s Machine" is the merge of tracks 2 & 10 of the C&C
– track 29 "The Flik Machine" is different from che second part of track 9?
– in this "ipotetical other release" tracks 8 "Clown Waltz", 9 "Manto the Magnificent" and 19 "The Last Grain" are missing.
