I’ve been searching lately for evil fast paced frantic circus/clown/carnival music. similar to that of the arcade game Carnevil (I’d love to get my hands on that music, but can’t find it anywhere) so far the only thing that sounds similar is the mr. patch theme from banjo tooie.

anything similar to this

or this

would be appreciated. thanks to anyone who can help me out

Could try the circus theme from Timesplitters 2, not really…scary per se, but has a kind of mocking/wacky feel to it. It actually made me think of CarnEvil the first time I heard it. 🙂

Its not VGM, but check out Mr. Bungle’s self-titled album, if you don’t mind songs with lyrics in them. Carousel springs to mind.

You could try the song Unhappy Carousel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S9Cv5K1Awo) off the Silent Hill 3 Unreleased OST, you can download it here (http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/7210/36). And also the entire OST (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/2758) for Voodoo Vince might also be helpful, it’s very New Orleans.

Have you heard the soundtrack for American McGee’s Alice?

Maybe psyconauts, the meat circus. It’s not scary but it has a crazy feeling to it.
