heard it,
and then set
her hands on
her nice

expecting
me to respond
to her anger
with anything
but indifferance.

her pretty mouth
formed the words
I didn’t hear
and she stormed
off; I stored
the image of her
retreating ass
in my
mind to
beat-off
to
later.

I cracked myself
another beer
