we’re pretty sweet just so you know.

you can see a video of us sans guitar player and new bass player (added after the concert; he’s actually there in the tie-dye :P) playing good ol’ "Watermelon Man".
there are a lot of communication problems in this video as we hadn’t practiced for almost two months before that concert but I dunno maybe you guys would be interested.

you guys are pretty good! ESPECIALLY considering the wind and lack of practice. Hearing it with guitar and bass would be something else tho. I remember Watermelon Man from when I played trumpet in the school band, but I’d never heard it done as a improv jazz thinger. Intriguing.

also: needs drum solo.

WELL YOU ARE IN LUCK soon

our bass player has some decent recording equipment in his house and a room with decent acoustics so we’re working on a cd and on Watermelon man not only is there gonna be a drum solo, but it’s him trading fours with himself (as in he plays four bars, then does nothing, then plays four bars, etc.. Then, we’re recording another track of him playing bongos or maaaybe jazz marimba and then having him fill in during the trading fours part).

It’s gonna be sick dude.

I’m glad you two enjoyed it 😀
