Zodiac Spear….?

Hi Folks,

Just going through the game the first time. I have been careful not to open any of the treasure chests that prevent the Zodiac Spear from appearing in Nabudis. I finally get to the room with 16 chests, and none of them contain the spear. I tried this twice and then figured out that maybe something else prevents the spear from appearing.

I do have Excalibur, and it took around 15 back and forth trips in the crystal to get it. Is this the same with the spear, or should it be there? If it should be there 100% of the time, does anyone know of other reasons for it not appearing?

It should be there 100% of the time. Did you open the chest while wearing the Diamond Armlet?

I can’t for the life of me remember if that negates it, but try ’em without the armlet.

Yup. Had the Armlet equipped. Went back with it off, and the spear was there. Thanks for that.

Maybe you did hit one of the treasures by accident they are One outside Dalan’s house in plain view taunting you, Second is the treasures in the first floor of the Palace when you sneak in they are over in the corner basically only open the Map urn leave everything else, Third while escaping the Prison Don’t pick up any of the treasure where yopu get your stuff back, Four and finally in Phon coast there is a Line of treasure near the water edge near the Village DO NOT PICK UP A SINGLE ONE. If you touched a single one you are basically SOL on getting the spear in the Necrhol.

The other way you can get it is in Hene mine locked section VERY HARD to do but possible.

EDIT: sorry posted before you did didn’t see you got it so the Armlet prevents the spear from being achevied eh.

P.S.: Congrats on attaining the Spear — I guess this is taken care of then.
