Hi, I’ve been wanting the complete original game music for this game for a few years. The original midi files played through Windows XP don’t sound as good as they used to sound (They sound very crap through XP). It would be very helpful if someone could get a hold of the original music (No I’m not talking about markmcwane’s music) as MP3 files at least…

Sad to say, the music for Duke Nukem 3D is made from midi. They had their own midi sync just for the game which makes it sound better than normal midi files.

The midi I got is from the original and from what I can tell it sounds just like it. http://rapidshare.com/files/25587041/Duke_Nukem_3D.rar

MP3 format: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ykv15y
The mp3 versions changed abit though. sound slightly different.

I know they’re made from midi.

There was one time when I made them sound like this in Windows XP…

Try this little program called htsmidi. Its emulation that fm synth chip witch makes midi files sound like played through those old soundcards.
Although recent version is 0.96 is recommend 0.70a as it sounds more ginuine to me.

There’s a site that has the soundtrack ripped to ogg format in the most accurate way they could find. It’s a great resource for old Apogee soundtracks too.
