Look, like it or hate it, Final Fantasy VII was a big step for the series back in 1997 and despite all its short-fallings it is a classic. But come on, its nearly been a decade and people are still so immsersed in it. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a bad thing… but why can’t people just say "it was great" rather then saying "it was great so remake the whole thing".

You don’t remake one title because it was great. Because… well, it is "great" as it is despite all its shortfallings (and there are plenty in Final Fantasy VII). Just let it be. If Square-Enix wish to add more stories to the periphery world of Final Fantasy VII that’s fine; I may not be into any of that personally, but I don’t begrudge them for feeding the fan-base in that manner. But remaking the original… I say no.

Trying to go back and right the wrongs in the plot-holes for one, is most likely going to lead to an even more botched up story by the end of it. Because either they change the original story to something more fluent, or they try and keep all the plot points as they are and develop a quicky and farfetched way of linking them all and filling in the blanks.

So, the bunny man gives a big thumbs-down to any remake that may or may not emerge. If you like the game; then like it, play it, enjoy it and discuss it intelligently. But let Square-Enix finally put that title to rest and let them move onto new endevours.

The princess and I bought a Gamecube primarily to follow the Resident Evil series spill-over; so we have experience with a remake… the remade version of the original Resident Evil. Oddly enough, Resident Evil (the original) and Final Fantasy VII both suffer from some of the same issues; like poor dialogue, plot-issues and the like.

I’ll admit we did buy and enjoy the remake, but despite better graphics, dialogue, voice acting and the rest… its not any better and it just doesn’t feel right. Anyway, that’s my two cents.

The only FFs there are gonna be FFXII, FFXII versus and some other Final Fantasy I forgot the name.Besides its the game not the graphics I mostly like

Ok lets take facts as facts. The little nice video all people and blinded funs of ff7 have seen was a so called "technical demo" for playstation 3 that Square Enix produced. This technical demo that is a remake of the into of ff7 was made to show how the games of ps3 are going to look like.

We can see such examples in the past. For example Square did same for nintendo 64 with final fantasy vi and with playstation 2 and final fantasy viii.
But never ff8 either 6 came into ps2 and n64.
