Game music is always made better with either an Orchestrated Version or a Piano Version, What I want to know is, Which of these remakes of a Game Theme do you think really works, or has really touched you, or shows real musical talent.

For me, the best Piano versions from game music tracks, has to be from the Final Fantasy X Piano Collections, They show alot of emotion when they are being played, Some good ones being Path of Repentance (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/42/10) and Rikkus Theme (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/42/6)

The best Orchestrated Themes that I have found, come from a variaty of different albums, One that I really like is that of Fishermans Horizon (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/38/5) from Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec, Using a nice variation of Vocal and Instrumental talents, Secondly I would like to add Into the Darkness (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/3/4) From the Final Fantasy IV album Celtic Moon, These instruments work really well with this particular track.

Let’s see what yours are!

The Man with a Machine Gun Orchastrated is very good, 1000 Words Orchastrated is also touchy, Blue Fields in the Piano is good and also Liberi Fatali in the Piano, and Melodies of Life in the Piano

? :\

there are loads of great orchestrations and piano versions(Fishermans horizon is also one of my favo) but tracks like the Esthar theme, those arent possible to translate into a decent piano or orchestrated version and some are even horrible(one winged angel piano version is just wrong)

and the old Super Mario bros themes.. those are meant to b midi r whatever the formats called

No no no, I meant the ones they have made into piano and orchestrated themes always sound better, not that they have made every single song into orchestrated/piano..

his point was that some VGM songs don’t translate well into piano or orchestrations.

blue fields is probably my favorite piano piece actually. despite liking ff7 a whole lot more than 8.

not sure if I can include this, but toki no hourousha (rearranged, classical instruments, and vox) from final fantasy pray is also one of my alltime favoritist songs. ^^
