What next-gen console you gonna buy?

I’m going to go for a PS3 I think, but I haven’t 100% decided yet, I’ll decide when I see the price, what kind of games it will have etc.Spec-wise though, PS3 is damn powerful.

Yeah, but it lacks joysticks. Which probably means it’s gonna suck.

Ok seriously. Everyone who is smart must realize that they need to purchase the $400 Xbox 360 Premium package instead of the lame $300 one. Sell your Xbox and that should get you almost $100 depending on where you live, because you can’t have backwards compatibility w/out the hard drive; and that only comes in the Premium deal.

I said that the PS3 was going to be $500 for a long time, but now ‘experts’ are predicting it to release at $400. I would be shocked to see it go for that low, when you consider everything that is put into the system, and how much it costs to manufacture one.

Revolution <B>will</B> debut at $200, period. A bunch of new information should be released within the next couple of weeks, maybe including the design of the new controller. Nintendo won’t release their fifth home system for higher than any of the previous four.

That said, I’m probably going to pick up the 360 by Christmas, sell the original system, and just make room for the slightly smaller upgrade. And I’ll definately pick up the Revolution when it’s released in the summer.

I will buy a Revolution for Super Smash Bros. online, and that will more than likely be the only thing I ever play on it.

No interest whatsoever in the other two.

I probably buy a PS3 due to the fact that Killzone 2 or 3(whichever one) will be on it and the new "Gundam Universe" looks to be good. Oh yeah MGS4 too.

I’m gonna get the Revolution first then the PS3. I don’t know about the XBOX 360 though, I’ve never really been an XBOX fan.

Can’nt say I have decided yet. But it will probably be the PS3. Might wait a while for the price to drop a little.

"which console will you buy" is a pretty different discussion from "what console do you think will come out on top."

personally I think it’s too early to make any sort of decision. I’d certainly like Playstation 3 to be what I end up buying, but I don’t know how confident I am that it’ll provide decent competition for the 360.

and I’ll most likely get the revolution on top of that. I’m a sucker for fun, simple games. ^^

I assumed that you would enjoy it at least to be moderating the FFshrine.

They’ve pretty much quit making Final Fantasy games. I’m not really interested in the shitfest FMV showcases they’re making under the title now. Also: I don’t play video games very much anymore in general, except when I go on binges with old games (right now I am reminiscing with old MS-DOS games). I joined this community more than 5 years ago and like a lot of the regulars, I stay more because I am attached to the people and the place than because I’m into Final Fantasy. I still love 1 through 9 though, and I don’t know yet about 10 since I still haven’t bothered to play it.
