OMG. Yes Kingdom Hearts is the child of mummy Final Fantasy and daddy Disney.

It was made by Square, and it had FF characters in it, so yeah.

ill give you the full story. one day there was a couple in japan, named squaresoft and nintendo, who had 7 children named ff1, ff2, ff3, ff4, ff5, ff6, and chrono trigger. when the couple decided to travel to america and europe, ff3 decided to stay behind and watch the house. a few years later squaresoft left the heartbroken nintendo after he fell in love with a younger company named sony, at that time they had 3 children named ff7, ff8, and ff tactics. through a freak accident squaresoft ended up being genetically merged with a much lesser enix. the new square-enix was able to convince 6 of the children from his previous relationship to come live with him and sony. they also had 2 more children named ff9 and chrono cross. it was around that time that sony decided to get plastic surgery and had another child named ffx. not long after that both sony and square-enix had affairs. square had another brief fling with nintendo, creating an evil little son named crystal chronicals, who convinced ff1 and ff2 to come back to thier mother, and dragged tactics along. sony had an affair with disney, and when the child was born, no one knew who the father was, so both were named fathers, this child was named kingdom hearts. kingdom hearts was always considered kind of wierd because it chose to be real time based instead of turn based like the rest of the family. later on the children ffx-2 and ff11 were produced, and sony is currently pregnant with ff12 and kingdom hearts 2. and that is all you need to know about kingdom hearts’ connection to ff

Thats was wow, but didn’t squresoft become squre-enix at the "Greatest hits" release of FFX, I thought they were still squresoft for FFIX and Chrono Cross, I’m not sure about Crsytal Chronicles, but everything after the "GC" FF10 was squre-enix

So far Auron, Squall and Cloud have been really announced but you can bet on seeing the likes of Aerith and Yuffie. Also, i think it`s worth pointing out that at the Sqaure Enix part 2005 in a short video Cloud coould be seen fighting alongside Squall, but this time Cloud was wearing his FFVII:AC clothing.

turn based as opposed to real time. any game with random battles is usually turn based, as in the little bar fills up, then you select to attack, magic, etc. then the next character does….. real time are games like kh or KOTOR which have more of a hack and slash feel. the only reason they are considered rpgs is because you raise levels, control stats, and so on. ffx is a different type of turn based as it tells you who is taking the next turn well in advance.

Yeah thats right.I prefered the bar filling up rather than the FFX system as good as it was.

KOTOR wasn’t hack -n- slash, it was turn based. Remember every time you encountered an enemy, the screen would stop and you’d have to select your action? I’d call it half real-time and half turn-based… so… Turn-time? Real-Based?

thats true, it was both, but it still had more of a real time feel

Yeah, but I didn’t enjoy it. I would have liked a fighting system like Jedi Academy… only better.

Great, apart from the fact that Enix produced "Star Ocean: The Second Story", a very nice game in my opinion. Enix is lesser, but it has at least one good game.
