I agree it’s innovative but using the same 3 characters does tend to get tedious.It’s just my opinion, I didn’t like FFX-2 and you flamming me isn’t going to change that.

X-2 has already disappointed a lot of ff fans (myself included and i wont post the reason why i didn’t like it cos i’ve done it millions of times) and there already has been a X-2 int’l + last mission. Do u seriously want another sequel??? 🙁
I also didn’t like the soundtrack, and hated specifically the battle theme. It, after a while gets unbearable.

I think she started her search only after seeing Shuyin’s sphere. And if she ‘really’ loved the guy, looking for him for a long time isn’t desperate.

And if you don’t do a side mission, you’re either misssing an important part of the FFX-2 story ( an example would be YRP girls going into the cavern where the crimson squad went, that is a huge chunk of story you will be missing if you skip this!) or you’re missing an important dress-sphere, you need to beat the game. Side missions in FF-X was WAY better because you didn’t need to do them, unless you wanted to. And if you chose not to do them then you wouldn’t be missing anything super important. <<This is not the case in X-2! Plus Blitzball is by far funner than Sphere break, anyday!
Chapters, IMO, was a disaster. Because whenever I play a FF game, I want to feel like I’m plyaing through a lengthy game. Its still not the case in X-2. In X-2 I feel like I can rocket through the game in a day or two with or without the side missions.
IMO to me there’s two parts to these types of games;
1. There’s a part where your playable characters go somewhere to reach their main goal (tidus and co. ,in FFX, get to the last temple in Zanarkand)……but they find that they need to reach another goal.
2. When they achieve their last goal with a loss of something precious/someone they care about. ****SPOILERS FOR FFX****

The storyline in FF X-2 was so MUCH lighter than FFX, I was expecting something much heavier. Half the story is through side missions! If you split up FFX into side missions, you would feel that you don’t need to do half the game. I wish that Square Enix could have made it so that the side missions were "invisable" "Invisable" meaning that the game would almost force me to do them, like getting the hidden Aeons in FFX. In FFX-2 I don’t even feel that I need to go to the Calm Lands or anyother place that doesn’t have something to do with the storyline missions.
I do like the way the involved Lenne and Shuyin though, I have no problem with that being added into the story as well as Vegnagun. I just didn’t like the way they included them into Yuna’s life. Speaking of Yuna’s life, I knew that being a sphere hunter wouldn’t last long in the game. By chapter 3, sphere hunting is way over, so Yuna ain’t sphere hunter for half of the game. < sure I understand why Yuna is a sphere hunter, but having her a sphere hunter for not even half the game seems a little illogical because she saw a sphere of "shuyin" and she thought he was tidus. I would understand if she quit her sphere hunting career after chapter 3, since she found out that she saw suyin but she quit before that so that they can charge people for cleaning up thei areas of fiends.
In conclusion, I think that sqaure enix had a good idea but they didn’t put a lot of effort into the game. So it doesn’t feel like a FF game to me at all. And that they shouldn’t have had all fo these side missions, to unlock the main story.
I would start making up for suggestions for this game but it would e pointless, its already been made.

If you played X you would find out that in fact Tidus wasn’t from the Real Zanarkand from about 1000 years old he was from "Dream Zanarkand" and for that he wasn’t in the same time as Shuyin, also since it’s a Dream Zanarkand it hasn’t got the same atmosphere that the real Zanarkand because the real one was living a war and Shuyin was trying to help a summoner that was launched for war, the dream zanarkand lived in peace, so it was only a simulation of Zanarkand, maybe Tidus was Shuyin’s version in the dream zanarkand maybe not, just don’t confuse the both

X-2 isn’t as good as X, ok? I’ll agree with that on several points! I HATE calm lands betting games!! Freakin’ BORING…400 points of boring crap! And I also HATE Leblanc, stupid, mindless, annoying beehotch!!! Her character should’ve been replaced with a steamier flashback story line between Nooj and Paine…now THAT woulda been COOOOL! I mean c’mon…if Nooj was really attracted to LeBlanc, then it’s no WONDER he wanted to die!!
But I don’t think X-2 was a total failure…I enjoyed playing it immensely!! No video game is perfect.

FFX-2 on a level wasn’t such a bad game but for square enix standards it was unexplainably shit.
I would take issue though with your complaint about Yuna’s stopping the war with her singing. I’d consider that, well, a simplistic analysis. It wasn’t just the song — you’re forgetting the combined power of the images that everyone saw on the sphere screen, their respect for their High Summoner Yuna as well as her star power, and the power of those like Lucil and others with level heads.
