Just something I’m taking a guess at. I just read the interview on the website, and one of the designers or creators said he’s a big fan of Star Wars. Later, a question was asked about love between the hero and heroine (like in FFX). The response was "yes, but perhaps a different type of love."
So my guess is, that like in Star Wars with Luke and Leia, Ashe and Vaan will discover that they’re brother and sister.
I can’t believe we have to wait so long for this game, I want to play it so badly!

i admitt the prewveiws of the game looks like it is like star wars but it could be roughy based on the movies yet still it will be different as they characters have the same looks as the past ff characters and the story plotts will be way different than star wars.

Q: It was said yesterday that some of the influences for the art style and environment were Mediteranian in nature. Many in the audience also saw some possible influence from Episode 2 of Star Wars. Can you comment on some of various influences for the game?
Minaba: I am a big fan of star Wars — I will admit that. But, if we say Star Wars is our influence and create our game, you won’t end up with an FF game nor will you end up with FF12. I’ll just say that I’m a fan. I wouldn’t say that was necessarily an influence though.
And i saw the second question 2…I think ummm the love might not even be between ashe and vaan like balflear (human) and Fran (Veira). Oh well we will just have to wait.

Maybe the girl character is in love by a guy ( i suspect a guy with white hair that appears in a trailer kissing her) and she may start off by thinking Vaan is an immature guy that doesn’t take nothing serious, and Vaan may like the blonde girl ( appearing on the trailer)… when he means different love story he isn’t talking of incest for god sake he is talking of a different development!!!! ot like squall and rinoa or tidus and yuna, that had love growing teh game till reach the boiling point ( ragnarok scene, macalania scene) this is not incest this is about how love is going to evolve
