when ever you equip materia,it goes into these little slots…and you never actual see where these little slots are on the weapon or armour….
i wonder if in advent children, they will show you the slots on the weapons and armour…but then again, i didn’t see much magic being used in the trailers….
just silly thoughts going about in my brain =)

in cloud’s buster sword…you see the two slots near the hilt…actually right under the gaurd of the sword…and in the movie..there is a couple lines that represent the "linked" materia slot for it…as for the other weapons…not sure where they go…specially the nail bat weap for cloud…hmmm?

The nail bat weapon didn’t have slots and I highly doubt we will be seeing Cloud with any weapon other than his Buster Sword.

Ugh…… u see Magic being used in the trailer for Advent children a couple of times, one of the "SHM" uses some kind of spell, summoning or somthing like that WATCH THE TRAILER AGAIN!!!

the most complicated one to figure out would be where it goes on tifa, i mean materia have always been seen as being about the size of a baseball, yet she has gloves that hold 6 or 8, or possibly more (im not so deeply immersed that i can remember exactly how many slots each weapon has) but anyways, how would that work

Maybe materia is smaller than you think. When Holy came out of Aeri’ hair when Seph killed her it only about 2" round (I think). 🙂

oh…hey wow, i never noticed this before, but look at my sinature (it should be at the top of the page), you can see 2 materia slots on yuffie’s weapon.
