Maria , some questions.

Hey all,
a while ago I got mad at Maria’s lameo attacks and dumped the bow, she uses a spear now and has almost as much hp as everyone else. (about 401)

Is this a good idea? lol I was just wondering because I also want to know if bows are any good.

I’ll assume that you’re talking about FF2. I never used the bow in FF2 though if properly leveled up, it might be as strong as any Melee weapon in the game. Since it is the only weapon (I believe) that can be used in the backline, it might be very powerful and very safe to use.

i usually used maria in the back row till like lvl 12 then switched her to front row with the strongest armour and 2 swords not the best comb for her but now shes lvl 22 with loads of Hp and Def which is what she needs most IMO.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t give her the bow, it sucks IMO. I had every character with two weapons, I didn’t really have any weak characters that just sat in the back row.

Yea ever since I moved her to front row with the spear she’s been a lot more powerfull etc. Another alternitave I had was to make her a full out mage –shrugs–

IMO means in my opinion, anyhow, making her a mage is a good idea as well, I made her have great fighting skills as well as all the good spells.

can i ask has anyone tryed putting maria as a barefist mage?? just curious to see if itd work out.

I droped the bow, and kept her on fists, she hurts more then every one else. but she only gets one hirt which hurts like 1500 and every one else gets 2 hits at like 500 each. so i guess you’re doing good.

Maria is always my mage, so I teach her lots of spells and I equip with a bow. Weak, yes, but I just cast spells with Maria so it doesn�t matter anyway.

I use maria as my black mage but she uses bow.However sometimes i think she is the real main character cuz she seems to have more importance that firion and obviously guy too. Maria foghts well and even with advanced magic she’s better with the bow
