Spoilers .Did You Fall For Any "Rumours"?

So last time i played seven it was around a time when many sites had BIG lists of rumours. But one claimed that the author used to work for square so STUPIDLY I trusted him.

There was one which woulda been hella cool, it said that if you were really nice to aeris and bad to tifa(?) then when seph is falling about to kill aeris then tifa would dive in the way and take the blade. Thus aeris is SAFE. But of course this didn’t work which really was a bummer but i’m sure there were worse ones, that involved doin sumthin 100 times.:eye:

The biggest one for me would be the Aeris revival idea (also most realistic rumor i think), its the one i wanted most to be true. We had her unfinished ghost in the church (which i’ve recorded some vids of) the ending scence, the feeling of it being incomplete, the infamous cave just after the sleeping forest that we should be able to get into, also speculation that the "tissue" you won was something to do with it, crying over her flowers in the church where her ghost was maybe, maybe it was a required item to let you emotions show or something who knows.

Till my dying day i’ll believe it can be done somehow cos thats what i want, in my mind i know it cant, but in my heart i think it can. Just think the developers are being really cruel and made it very hard to find the way to do it and are not going to tell us and nobody has found it out yet. That would be cool 🙂 :p

Also Shinra attack soldiers (why only be able to get 2 of the set, incomplete game likely) More hidden weapons to fight, there were loads could be away away somewhere…

Even after the hidden cinema from shinra mansion basement and the unfolding of it being zack not cloud at Nibelheim even if you still go back to that village by the reactor ruins with Zacks parents, not one whiff is mentioned of his death, that Cloud new him, tifa new him Aeris was his love, nothing like that, it was left with them wondering, i felt that was incomplete.

Also a rumor if Aeris was revived, Cloud would end up with Tifa, and Aeris with Zack, i dont believe this myself, bit too much of a fairytale ending for me 🙂

Nah, I never fell for any rumors. Although I really enjoy reading them. Most of them are so funny.

No, not really o_o; I’m not one to fall easily for rumors, and I was glad for the thing which happened to Aeris, so why would I ever want to revive her?

They are funny to read, I think. But it gets frustrating when you meet someone who firmly believes that this and that rumour is true, but not for the version we have (or whatever).

I remember I’ve read some very detailed rumour that was also based on some Square employee’s report, or rather, so the author claimed. It was different from the one Ultima Fire posted above, though, I believe. I guess giving "Square employee" as source is popular.

I did try and do everything I could think of to my characters to make it possible to "revive Aeris" at a later date, in case. Including getting everyone charged up with Limit Level 4 Breaks (including Aeris) and with their ultimate weapon equipped (once again, including Aeris.) Alas, it was all in vain, although my party was literally indestructable at the end of disk 1.

*Shrugs and smiles.* It was fun having Cloud do Omnislash on the first disk.

Are you by any chance referring to the infamous Ben Lansing Aeris revival rumor? I have a copy of that on my hard drive, it’s so funny.

Ben Lansing? Oh, what do I know. I don’t remember, nor do I want to remember such things.

Well, he said that he was a translator who worked on the game and stumbled across a method of reviving Aeris that Squaresoft was originally planning on putting into the game, but then later decided to take out and cover up. His plan involved somehow obtaining the Sector 8 Key on Disc 1 and focused heavily on talking to the sick guy in the pipe, who he and his followers referred to as the "General."

I know dude… I meant getting all the characters as perfect as possible before I went into the crater / went back to Midgar / went back to the City of the Ancients on disk 2… I was naive in those days.

Yeah i fell for the Ben lansing Rumour before i found out on Dreydans FF page that he was a fake:whatever: . Although they were cool i never thought. If aeris were aliv, revived or her death could be prevented then numerous parts of the game’d need to be left out. ie. going with Beugenhagen to the cetra city to find if the Holy materia worked. Cos she could just tell ya " well it should glow if it works, and when i was killed i saw it falling down the steps and it was glowing". NOW that’d be SAD.

The Last Fmv’d need to be changed, the conversations with your party when somthing major happens AND PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF THE GAME .

Plus the coolest fight in the game wouldn’t happen. ( Made cool by the music ) The fight with the second jenova with the aeris theme and the safer sephiroth fight with One Winged ANGEL. possibly due to some change in the story oh and fans wouldn’t feel heartbroken at the end of disk one.

NOW why didn’t i think of that when i tried the rumour. DUH!!!?

I fell for the not-so-widely known "beat Sephiroth within 20 hours and you’ll get the good ending where Midgar isn’t destroyed" rumor. I beat the game in around 18:30, though I didn’t get the ending.

I heard a rumor that if you get 12 of the 1/35 Soldiers that Sephiroth joins your party or something just as crazy happens.
Has anyone ever done it?

LOL, I read that one too. It isn’t even possible to get 12 of those unless you use an editor on your game file.

I fell for the rumor that said if you got all the 1/35 soldiers, you could get and use the Masamune from the Weapon Maker dude near Cosmo Canyon, and thatyou could have Cloud use it.
