Corny Anime Opening/Ending Theme Songs

Okay.. My least favorite opening theme song is Kenshin. The girl’s voice is just TOO high pitched for my likeness. And it’s funny cause I get this song stuck in my head all the time. The ending theme of Kenshin? Well… it’s in japanese lyrics so I can’t say anything but that it sounds best in japanese.

Eva has that dangerously catchie opening tune 😀

Nobody will know what I’m talking about, but… I dislike the ending theme for the first half of the Flame of Recca anime. It’s just…. crap. The one they get later on is really cool, though. But I can’t stand the original.

In general, I like every Opening or Ending as long as it�s cool.
Until now, no Opening or Ending could make me go mad (not even the Kenshin- Song 😀 well,I was shocked…)

In Germnay, ya won�t be happy with some ways they let animes start. When you�re lucky they use the original Songs also,
but as if they try to make us hate animes the German TV- guys try to translate (sometimes they don�t even do that) and sing in GERMAN (and that�s absolutly unendurable!!! 😡 )

Or they decide to take the original Opening-Song away and take a stupid Song wich doesn�t fit at all with the former song or the anime and is just horrible!! ( they did so with Escaflowne and Inu Yasha and X and… stopped counting!)

I don’t know about that I love all opening and ending theme sings. But i must say the Hamtaro one is actually getting pretty anoying. But maybe that’s because my bro and sis always go around the house singing it. oh well who knows.

I think the Trigun ending is probably the most horrible song in any anime I’ve heard…it sounds like some crazy old short Japanese man who has drinken wayy too much sake. Just take a listen, you’ll know what I mean

I think I’d have to agree with Oberon on the Hamtaro theme. Some jagass at my old school downloaded it and played it over and over in the computers class. There are some times when kawaii goes too far.

lol i actually like the hamtaro one. but i gotta agree with the thread starter, the minute i read the thread title, i knew i was gonna come in here and rant about the kenshin opening, and lo and behold, he did too.

seriously, wtf is that? it like doenst even fit it with the show. the show’s all serious and stuff with some drama here and there and only light comedy or whatever and you got a opening that sounds like the opening to some hamtaro spinoff tv series where all the ham hams are 3d and cell shaded like sd gundam. i mean FUCK MAN! lol

Wrong. Rurouni Kenshin is definately not a completely serious animation. I assume you’re all talking about Sobakasu? I really fail to see how it doesn’t suit the series, especially some of the more light hearted and comedic episodes. The lyrics fit the series as a whole quite nicely, too. And about high pitched voice… some people just sing like that, it’s quite common that female Japanese singers sing in that tone, also.

Gundam Wings Credits Theme Is Atrocius… Bad Voice Crap Song (Just Love FOr Those Who May want It) And Lots Of Fanboy Relena Stuff… Bad Bad Bad… Also The intro To Yu Yu Hakusho Is Pretty Corny As is the Credits theme…

I like Eva and Full Metal Panic’s opening themes.

I HATE the one for one of the new shows in fansub stage–Mezzo DSA. It’s just so amazingly cheesy and annoying.

To those who mentioned Hamtaro – it has a new English opening theme, but unless you live in Canada, there are only a couple episodes where you can catch it. Cartoon Network only plays it at the beginning of a couple episodes. I think it has something to do with the singer of theme being Canadian.

Kenshin’s opening song is great. Everyone should be in smiling fits when they hear it.

Same for Hamtaro. Especially the ending song.

And Yu Yu Hakusho. My little sister sings it with me and she really gets into the "MASU!" at the very end.

OMG i hate BIG O’s opening theme, has no beat, and it just SUCKS. (had to get that off my chest} all the Opening theme says is BIG O BIG O BIG O BIG O blah blah blah blah. I hate that song. Wait that’s not even a #@! song. :notgood: 😡 :whatever:
