Dynasty Warriors Games

The reason I’m starting this thread is simple : What is your opinion of these games? I just got Dynasty Warriors 3 a week ago, and all I can say is… I LOVE THIS GAME!!! The whole feel of it, is superb. Sending your character running into a pack full of enemies, and then attacking, sending them flying backwards, left me speechless. The special attacks, each unique to each individual character, not only are powerful, but can save you from being overwhelmed by sheer numbers of enemies. And the best part about the special attacks, is that you can quickly rebuild the gauge up, by either attacking enemies, take damage, or simply hold down the O button, and then unleash it again on another unsuspecting group of enemies makes me chuckle with glee.

Combine all the extra weapons available to you, as well as items and even special characters (Initally you start with Nine charactes, three from each faction, Wei Empire, Wu Empire and the Shu Kingdom). However, if you still have a save file from Dynasty Warriors 2 (or in the case of Dynasty Warriors 4, a save file from 3), you can increase the number of characters from beginning.

The game is superb, and I personally love it. If you’re after a good game, where you can unleash your violent tendencies, en masse, against hordes of enemies, give this one a go. You won’t be disappointed, yes?

Actually, DW3 save files don’t work with DW4.

But DW3 and 4 are great games and DW3XL and soon to be released DW4XL. Pick them up and you’ll be pleased. ^__^

EDIT: I know that has nothing to do with Dynasty Warriors, but whenever I mention RotTK to my friends, they start talking about Dynasty Warriors.

I love this series. ^^

I mean I for one love learning about history and also…Chinese culture facinates me.

I have only played Dynasty Warriors 2 & 3, and very briefly played one of the earlier games of RotTK, I cannot recall which number it was. O.o

Anyway, my favourite characters are Zhao Yun, Zhou Yu, Jiange Wei, and Sun Ce. I’ll probably name more after I’ve played 4. XD

Who says hacking and slashing isn’t fun? I mean it gives you a great idea on how the wars were in those days.

A one man army hitting everyone while charging up their meter to do their musou? War must be a fun videogame! ^_^
