Aeons *Possible Spoilers*

I can’t believe I never thought of a thread like this before. O.o;

Deary me.

So let’s talk about Aeons.
Who is your fave Aeon? Least fave? Or simply the best looking one. XD

I liked almost all of them. But I admit Bahamut was the one I summoned most. I admit I haven’t even obtained one of the extra Aeons that were available, you know like Anima, Yojimbo etc etc…and what about those Dark Aeons!?! They were very very challenging indeed.

So tell me your view upon Aeons. ^^

I never did get Anima. I was one temple short or something. And I think it was the damn first temple too… Don’t ask me how I missed that one, I just did… Either that or the one where all the priests gathered. What’s it called. Bevelle. That’s it.

Bahamut was the one I constantly used. Shiva was very cool looking though. She had a good limit break. Bahamut just scrapes home because he’s a dragon, and by default he is therefore cool. And his attacks were impressive-o as well.

I’d go for Anima. I really liked the summon animation (don’t ask), her overdrive is the best, when you get her powered up, and each hit deals 99.999 damage you close to a pure 15.000.000hp of damage.

But more important would be the story behind Anima, Seymour’s aeon when you first see Seymour in action, actually his own mother, while being depressed over the fact that Seymour was different from everyone else, his mother became an aeon for him. Thus giving him more respect eventually.

My favorite Aeons are Shiva, Mindy, and Bahamut… Shive though is my most faveorite… Shiva is almost always the first aeon that gets max stats… Plus her OD is awesome! I love Mindy’s Passodo, and she reminds my of one of my fav. characters in FFIX, Eiko! Bahamut is cool but I disliked his look in FFX… He had alot of birdlike qualities and the weird disk on him but that’s my opinion…

My least favorites would have to be Ixion. I dunno why they keep switching the thunder summon… Quez. is the best thunder summon but I hate it when we have to summon some wierd unicorn or an old man for a thunder attack… I also dislike Yojimbo a bit… He would have been cooler if we didn’t always have to pay him and he’ll randomly select an attack to do… Plus he has no OD… 🙁 I also hate Cindy, she’s too fat and takes constant breaks…

My favorite all-time summon is Leviathan but Square decided that we didn’t need a water aeon, even with water becoming a primary element…

I have the US version so I envy you guys for having the Dark Aeons and the improved Anima OD…

Bahamut..and its obvious considering in my current game hes completely maxed and he knows almost everything and the rest..well..dont.

My favorite were the Magnus Sisters… cause although they were INCREDIBLY annoying to get… they were really.. .really good

It is impossible to clear Bevelle without getting the Destruction Sphere treasure. If you weren’t able to get Anima, then you missed the treasure somewhere other than Bevelle. In order, the temples are:

Besaid
Kilika
Djose
Macalania
Bevelle (Must get the treasure to exit!)
Zanarkand Ruins

Once you get all the destruction treasures, go to Baaj temple and defeat the monster there and then you can go get Anima. If you miss a Destruction treasure, you can revisit the temple to go get it. The only temple you can’t revisit is Bevelle, which doesn’t matter, since, like I said, you have to get the Destruction treasure there to exit. A couple of things to watch out for:

– If you have the International version, then your return to the temples may be blocked by dark aeons.

– If you just got the airship and try to go to a temple without first heading to Bevelle, then you might get chased out as a traitor of Yevon.
