I hope this is the right forum. I aplogize if it is not!

Anyway, the center piece for my PSONE is giving me trouble. It seems like it is loose or something. When I play FF5, after a battle or after leaving a room (basically when the screen has to go black) it freezes on me. When i play xenogears, it will start making a scratching sound. Is there something i can tighten or fix to help this problem? thanks in advance.

I just took a look at a PSX of mine. And since it seems there’s no where you could insert a screw driver, it’s probably nothing you could customly do.

So unless you know someone around who could take a look at it, it’s probably your best bet towhere you bought it and ask help from there.

Sorry, I know it’s probably not much help. =\

Any info helps! I figured i could unscrew the bottom of it and tightne the centerpiece. But i don’t know if that will work. I might just have to get a new one. I think there only $50.00.

yeah, they aren’t too expensive anymore. And your suggestion could work, but on the other hand, could screw up your PSX. 🙁 So unless you’re willing to take a risk, I’d go and ask to get it fixed.

but like you already said, they’re becoming cheap. Maybe you should just get a new one. New systems have a time span now (I think…the PS2 is like 2 years of gameplay..dunno about the PSX though.)
