Game of 2003!

I just want to see what you all think are the best up and coming games of 2003.

Me thinks:

Halo2
Doom3
FFXI/XII?
MGS2: Substance
and…
Ninja Gaiden

those are my awards

Don’t you think we should wait until we reach the end of 2003?

Usually the game of the year has to be being released that year… Halo 2 probably wont, Doom 3 is uncertain and FFXII coming out this year is pretty much an impossibility…

If Konami do not release Suikoden 3 sometime in 2003 here in Europe, I am personally going to hunt down their head of marketing and demand an explanation as to why they would so easily turn their backs on a region that is BEGGING for more quality RPGs.

And if not personally, I’ll send a drone or a bot or a clone or something to do the arguing for me.

I would also like to see Wild Arms 3 sometime this year (although, if it isn’t gonna be released, Sony shall be hunted down in the same manner as above.)

Well I’m waiting on an [unfortunately] edited Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht [Official English Release Title] and Unlimited SaGa… Wild Arms 3 would be good… I’m not expecting much though not gonna get ma’ hopes up now… Oh well.

Let’s see. The new Zelda is gonna rock. And if OOT gets re-released this year then that will rock too. Sonic Mega Collection w00t and also……..ummmmmm oh yeah, Ninja Gaiden and maybe that new F-Zero game too.

Well Kie you’re in luck, if you preorder The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, you not only get a Gamecube Disc which includes a High-Res, better looking Ocarina of Time but also a Disc which holds the highly elusive… Ocarina of Time 64D… Yes you heard right now you’ll have more dingeons, more weapons, bigger baddies and more fun! Get your orders in! [In Japan anyway… I’m pretty sure US get’s it too… but not AUS as far as I know..:( ]

I forgot all about Zelda. Too bad I dont own a GC, cause it looks fun. I dont even know what Suikoden is about, lol.

Even though 2003 barely began so this topic is kinda strange i vote best upcoming game to be Zelda as well.

I would say Final Fantasy X-2 would be a GREAT game to look forward to in 2003, if it comes out in 2003…

Plus Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness looks to be a great game too… Just look at the new PSM issue!

Off-topic: I am in that issue!!! In the reader’s response or whatever it is called (the bottom of the Letters section with other people’s answers to the question), I’m on the bottom right corner of the second page (the last one on it!) It’s cool to be in a America’s Best Selling PS2 Mag… 🙂

I’m really looking forward to Capcom Vs. SNK EO for Xbox (the first online fighting game!) and Fable for Xbox (a real-time fantasy RPG!).

I too, look forward to the next FF’s according to my resources FFXI won’t be out (in Europe) till possibly summer or later.
But I’m confused about FFX-2 shouldn’t that be released before FFXI?

Well, I live in Canada, so Xenosaga : Der Wille zur Macht will be released this year for me. This one will probably get my vote.

I’m also interested in FFX-2, FF Origins,Star Ocean 3, Breath of Fire V,Soul Calibur II and MegaMan X7, so those are the one I’ll probably get this year, which is more than enough if you ask me…If I DO get all of those I’ll have more than my share, thanks a lot :p

I WOULD be interested in Everquest Online Adventures ( I did some beta testing and liked it. ) and Final Fantasy XI IF you didn’t have to pay a monthly fee to play…Having to pay 80$ CAN for a game plus 15$ CAN per month is far too much to my taste.

I’m looking out for Xenosaga Episode I aswell. Unfortunately one of the most important scenes in the game has been cut from the U.S. and European versions deemed ‘sexually explicit’…

I think Final Fantasy 11 and 12 are the best upcoming games in 2003 so far.

Zelda is coming out on GameCube…….right?

Anyways, I’m looking forward to playing it. I’ve always been a huge lover of all Zelda games, so I’m excited to see what that one might have in store.

I was a little bit disappointed at Majora’s Mask, so I’m hoping for an improvement from that. Yeah, it was a good game, but it just didn’t hold up to my expectations.

Zelda, definitely.

Also any Final Fantasy game that’s planned on being released has my vote.

Well, I don’t really have anything planned as far as buying games go. Nothing has really caught my eye as of yet. (Well Kingdom Hearts 2 has, but I seriously doubt it will be released in 2003 ;_; )

crusader kings. i absolutely LOVED EU2, and still do. i’m hoping CK will at least be as good.

no one lives forever 2, unreal 2, dmc2 is freaking cool lookin but from what ive seen a moderate adventure game. plenty of action though. xenosaga deffinatly, and the getaway.
