Does anyone have one of those portable screens for the PS2? If so, where did you get it, how much did it cost and is it worth it? I’m considering looking into getting one because the TV gives me eyestrain and also because I want to move the PS2 up to my bedroom but the room isn’t big enough for a TV. Is the screen big enough that you can read subtitles on it?

I don’t think the PS2 has one yet, at least I haven’t seen ads for one, but the PSX does.

No, the PS2 definitely has one. I’ve seen advertisements for it, there is one on e-bay, and best buy’s website says it exists but they aren’t currently selling it for some reason.

I think I’ve answer this a long time ago….. but I’ll answer again. =P
I have seen it selling around here… BUT, not in any main stores. I saw it in a import store by some french company (at least I think, it had french writing.) The guy let me test it (using a PS2 that is lying in the back)… it sucks compared to the other screens for the other systems. =P Kinda small, cost ~120, not worth it in my opinion.

Actually where I live you can get one at your local game store (like Gamestop). I’ve never seen it out of box, but personally it doesn’t look worth it…at least not unless a battery or cigarette adapter comes out so you can play it on the road. Although I’m not sure how much energy the PS2 requires…so an adapter may be out of the question, and our battery technology might not be good enough yet to have a balance between size/weight and charge life.
