Why so many locked Topics?

I know this isn’t exactly about ffXI but it is really a pain to replay to somebody when topics get closed down just cause they resemble another one. I mean I personally think its hard to keep up with a topic when it has 3 or more pages to it.

Im not trying to be mean or try to tell anybody how to do his or her job, just stateing my opinion. I get the feeling this topic wil get closed too. I just posted it in this section cause this is the one I noticed it most

Well, because the game has not been released yet, everybody has lots and lots of questions. When people keep posting the same question over and over……jeesh. Think about it…you have four different people posting the same question. If their question can be answered by simply reading another users post, it would seem logical to close their post and direct them to another, instead of polluting the forum.

<font face="lucida calligraphy" size="2">If the topic has already dropped off the page, and a similar one reappears, its probably not going to get closed. However, when topics discussing the same thing are right on top of each other, there’s no point in having both of them open; people will say the same thing in both, or the discussion gets split between the two topics.

Before you make a new topic, take a moment to see if the question you want to ask is already being discussed in a similar topic…
