I got a majority of my dead peppers from the chocobo hot and cold game. You can just dig them up then. I think you can still get them while on disk four. I dont see why you wouldnt be able too.
As for the diamonds…..I have no clue. I got one during the whole game, and I cant remember where I got it. But if I figure out, I’ll let you know.

Go to the forest on Popos Heights (the area you are in if you climb up the vine near where the moogles are standing in Gizamaluke’s Grotto). The friendy Garuda should be found in the forest, give it a Lapiz Lazuli and it will give you a Diamond. 🙂

to get dead peppers u have to find all chocograph peices and then go and find the cracks and bubbles. before u leave talk to the 2 yellow chocbos next to fat chocobo. i think the one on the left gives you 99 dead peppers
