that’s one of the greater parts of FFVII. that is speculation. there is no exact known reason, but just think of one of your own. it’s an unexplained thing. my guess, is that he wasn’t the last, he found another of his kind, and perhaps after lifestream hit the world, more species of those extinct were reborn.
