Ok, as some guys have notice the sound quality in my previous upload was a bit meh, so I ripped the sound from the game myself and encoded it in OGG Vorbis q9 32000 (same as source, no resampling), now it sounds as the real deal ;). There are now 241 tracks, 181 of them properly tagged. Use 7-zip to decompress. Foobar 2000 recomended player.

This one is merely a resample of that one.Yup, I just filtered the youtube links through jdownloader which grabbed/extracted the mp3s from the videos automagically: http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/flac-mp3-legend-zelda-skyward-sword-gamerip-98302/4.html#post1847322. I ripped it b/c it was the only game rip that had any sort of tags (here, placeholders) and I needed a tagged source to confirm the track names with the untitled lossless rip (255 tracks). I would not recommend listening to a youtube rip, especially a transcoded one, on any device b/c of the following specs: 8khz rip, 22050Hz sampling = lower than podcast quality! Transcoding to 192kbps, if it is true, will not recover the lost audio data.

I've been trying to down load this all day, and haven't managed to successfully download one part yet.

To unzip:
1. Make sure all three files are in the same folder
2. Download and extract and run a program named hjsplit
3. Click on where it says Join
4. locate the .001 file and it will automatically join it with the .002 and .003 files
5. Now that you have one big archive, you can extract it normally with winrar

It also seems like some songs might be missing - and I noticed that I can't hear (or can barely hear) some instrument solos in 'variation' songs that should be much more audible (unfortunately, this was the case with nearly all of the songs that I wanted from the soundtrack in the first place - Like the Skyview Temple songs. The oboe solo is basically all but missing). It also seems like some of the 'variation' tracks are simply the same track inserted into the album twice, instead of the actual variations.

I noticed this too.
The two flying themes in this collection are identical (both are the later one with the drums, but one should be without them). And some of the tracks (such as the Ghirahim battle themes) the balance between left and right is really odd, and it just doesn't sound right (sorry I can't explain that better).

Use megaupload. They are a lot better.

If you're worried about browser compatibility, just get Opera. It's also way more stable, but you may want to adjust the Preferences and Appearance settings first. You can even dl all links on a page with it.
