What extension does the file have? Because of the japanese in the name, my computer cuts it after the number, and I don't know if it's a .zip or a .rar or whatever.

Initial impression: assett1‎'s remaster of The Ocarina of Time sounds better quality than this CD, which is sort of surprising. You'd think this would be a high fidelity release, but there's a faint, odd hissing sound in the background of every track, with the exception of the final orchestral track (which is worth the download in and of itself). Still, it's a mighty good upload. you can't go wrong with classic Zelda!

Oh well, the orchestral makes it worth the download. =)

There's nothing different from the two game's OSTs besides the re-orchestred track on the 3DS version. I would wait until July 5-15th for the US CD to be ripped.

Technically there is a difference. Its just that Mahito Yokota, who was responsible for the Audio in the 3DS Version, recieved special order from Koji Kondo to recreate every track to sound just like the N64 version.
So the 3DS werent ported over from the N64, they just got recreated very true to the original.

Yokota wanted it to be a little bit different at first, but Kondo used some special Tricks in some Tracks which he really wanted to get recreated.

I just read all 6 pages of the Iwata asks Interview of Koji Kondo and Mahito Yokota about this soundtrack, it was really interresting, you can find it on the nintendo site... somewhere :/

The overall volume of some instruments have been touched so they are more prominent, but that's it. Is the same old thing.

I was dissapointed that this doesn't have all bgm of the game, still, just re-orcestrated track warrants a must have of this CD.

The only thing I want to know is what crazy mind Kondo has when this should have been a full orchestral version of one of his greatest scores but he himself was against this idea. Yokota even wrote the full score for orchestra but no ... what a shame.

I was thinking about changes of the tracks in the 3DS sversion. I'm not sure but the Lon Lon's Ranch song seemed to be a bit different (vs the 64 version). Can you confirm that? I mean a slightly different version (not a difference in term of quality)

This was a great share and its nice to see a Zelda soundtrack released again. Not sure if I agree with the "50 tracks from the game, many never before released." comment as everything here sans the orchestral cue was released on the OoT CD. I only clicked through each of the tracks to hear bits and pieces, but i think they left off the organ music heard in your ascend to Ganon. I'm sure other stuff was left off too. The orchestral track was nice, but too simple and not very "rich" in sound.

Please, a lossless version? Commercial CD's are always very hard to find and I want to keep this somewhere special, thank you! Too bad I don't have money for 3DS nor Ocarina of Time 3D so I can't have this. Yes I listened to these versions of the soundtrack and it has less reverb, instruments sounds clearer, and finally extended temple music, with full instrumentation.

Mahito Yokota was going to arrange the soundtrack, until Koji Kondo requested he keep it as close to the originals as possible.

It's very bad in the Lost Woods, as far as I have listened.
