Hey, this is the first video game soundtrack I have contributed to this site. Generally I am found mostly on the Film Score forums, but...well, here I am. I like to have complete soundtracks to the stuff that matters most to me. MYST had a very large impact on my early childhood, and has influenced many of my ideas since then. The original soundtrack was released in 1995, and later in 1998, but there are some songs missing from it.

My complete soundtrack is comprised of the original soundtrack plus new or different songs that mainly came off the realMYST game files. The album art is labeled as expanded, but it is really a very complete score. I hope everyone appreciates this upload, as the realMYST themes can't be found for download anywhere else on the internet.

Ah this is a very fine rip indeed. I dabbled and created a 40 track "complete" version years ago, but this contains a few pieces that even i missed. The trailer music was awesome, and Tim Larkin even released a version on his website (when it was hosted at mp3.com) containing the trailer music without the vocals. I think the official RealMyst tracks were called Rime Overture, Northern Lights and Crystals.

I didn't know it existed. I sure would want that trailer music without the voiceover. The RealMyst tracks I named from some site detailing what tracks you could find on the Myst saga discs using a program called Riveal. I suppose the names you listed make more sense. The names of the tracks in the game files were: SALabMx, SnowAgeAmbMix, SnowAgeMx3.

I have a few more tracks missing (including the RealMyst trailer sans voice-over) that I'd be happy to contribute if you're keen.

Sorry, I must have missed this post. Yes, I would very much like the trailer with out the voiceover! I might not re-edit my album art, but if you want to upload those tracks to this page, you're very welcome to.

Here we are. I found it myself: RealMyst Trailer without the voice-over. This is a direct mp3 link, it's not my upload, and it isn't included in my original complete score, so have yourselves a bonus:

I've compiled all the extraneous pieces of Myst-related pieces, including the realMyst voice-overs into one reasonably sized compendium. The additional tracks from realMyt weren't included as you've included them in your set. That said, here's the link to the files I've compiled:

Apologies, also, for taking so long to reply. Time is something of a luxury to me. But a promise is a promise! :)

Thanks for the Compendium. Not surprisingly, I have all that stuff except for the Above Stoneship remix. That reminds me--I was thinking about doing soundscapes for some of the score, using the stereo sound files from realMyst. I remember reading about someone else on another forum who was going to do that, but never I found any links. This would be a future project, as I have more important priorities now.

Ah, yeah. Weird term to use then, not sure why I used it.

There is a separate thread with all the Myst music that I posted some time ago.

Here's the thread to visit (Thread 204396).
