Thanks for all the work you put into it, man. It definitely needed a stereo release.

:),

how works MegaFTP?
a bit slow, isn't it?

It was very slow as a normal download (no more than 10 kb/s), but it downloaded at a reasonable pace when I used BitComet as a download agent (closer to 40 kb/s). Still under 100 kb/s though (that's why I love Megaupload. I always get 900 kb/s as an average)

8 kb/s, when I was lucky up to 12 kb/s.

The download took 2 and a half hour to complete.

I got up as high as 200kb/s, started off pretty slow though.

my MegaFTP score is around 80kb/s, but almost in majority at 10~20kb/s -_- (20 min for 25%)

GOD hate you xD, MF is always the KING,
no one will win him during a long time.

2h30 is too much for 125 mo XD.
i'll keep to use MF then.
& i keep to look for an MF wo the 100mo upload limit ;)

lucky Boy, :p

look slow in front of the GIANT MF.

even if we must multiparted the archive, then ten 100mo archives will download faster than a 125mo for Sherlock or even Sliat :)

If it helps, I prefer Mediafire. It gives you decent speeds and you can download 2 files at a time instead of 1 with no waiting in between. Though Megaupload has lowered their limits too (I've yet to get a maximum download message yet).

Rapidshare seems to hate my BitComet. Almost everything else can download (and resume) through BC, except for Rapidshare. Also, Rapidhshare seems to be inconsistent. It tells me a file will take 5 minutes, but it ends up taking almost 30 minutes. It'll download for 5 seconds, freeze for 5 seconds, ect ect ect, so it takes longer than usual.

Well, I gave this a shot after reading the posts... I must say that, at least to me, it went EXTREMELY fast as soon as I began to d/l; I got speeds of 250kbs, spiking to almost 290! It kept the speed even while d/ling another file; however, it drastically dropped to 100-80kbs, but it was during the last portion of the d/l.

I still prefer Mediafire and/or Megaupload, though. But MegaFTP seems like a good alternative--a "just in case" option...I guess.

what do you mean by "pro"? with a free account?

No, "Pro" is the name for a paid Mediafire account.

I'm using a paid Mediafire account now.

2GB Storage, high speed, direct links (no Click here to download shit).

<3 Mediafire. :3

Explain something to me then. I use the free service regularly. If I go into My Files, there's more than 2Gb there already. The 'Click Here' isn't so bad (no download waiting period), and I usually get around 600kb/s.

So beyond being able to probably upload files larger than 1Gb (instead of splitting files), what's the advantage at that point?

The direct links. You click on it, the download pops up. No "Download your file here". Of course, as a downloader you won't have many pros from it, but as an uploader, the lack of splitting is a very good thing. :3
