River City Ransom has been on a total of four different systems. This album, compiled by Akumu, collects the music from each version. It's interesting to see how certain songs sound on another system. I particularly like the MSX version of "Small Boss."

msx version? I think you mean the X68000 version

anyways thanks a lot for the upload!!! I never heard most of the x68000 versions before!!! Except for the first boss music (I used it for my downtown fangame, if you like beat'em ups you can find the download links of a demo of it on youtube under "valdivia city ransom").

MSX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSX) is the older, was build by various marks like panasonic, canon, yamaha... 1st release in 1983, declined in many versions thru the MSX Turbo R in 1995, it was the last one made.

X68000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X68000) build by SHARP birth in 1987,
it's a computer exclusive to japan.
