Thanks! I try to do that with the Mega Man compilation albums. I've actually compiled an Mega Man GB Arrange album with some Doujin music I found that wasn't at the Mega Man Network (though I did put some of the GB music from Yuu and such on there.)

A collection of doujin Mega Man arrangements from the GB Mega Man games, also known as Rockman World. A few tracks are from Music from Yuu and one from Mega Man Anniversary Special Remixes but the rest were gathered from doujin sites.

I see that Wily's Battle Theme (Rapid Fire) on here is just as great as the GameBoy's version of it! Many thank yous. =) I was a bit worried that practically all the tracks I included were rock based but they sounded good and when I stopped to think about it, I was fortunate that the GB Mega Man games got this much remix/arrange love. Maybe the games were bigger in Japan than they were over here. I'm not sure. I'm glad I was able to find two versions of Wily's MMIV Battle Theme. I also tend to prefer the Violent Slayer over Rapid Fire, but like both tracks. I forgot to mention that I threw in a bunch of extra stuff like box art and screen shots. I figure maybe someone will download the album that hasn't played these games before, look at the extra content in the album and get the urge to play these games. You ever know. I was inspired by whoever put together the Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors GBA rip. They included a ton of extra stuff on there.

First off, I'd like to say that putting a Kirby track in there
(The Ballad of Sir Kibbles) is a great touch! I had a joy giving it a good listen.
Then theres other tracks like Essential Vitamins, airstrike and The Spy that have a funky relaxing feel to them.
(Which is what alot of these tracks will make you think)

But the thing that surprised me the most out of this compilation was the presence of a few Donkey Kong songs!!!=-O Now that surpasses the level of genius right there!

I'll have you know that Diddy's Kong Quest is one of my TOP favorite games of all time! And the soundtrack..... is just fuckin amazing! Easily one of the greatest soundtracks known to man!!!

Aquatic Ambiance (From the first Donkey Kong Country) stays true to its name with alot of atmosphere and mood going on. Kinda gives you a lost mysterious feeling.

Congrats on another installment of your albums!

Ha, again, thank you! The Ballad of Sir Kibbles made it in at the last moment. I downloaded Rise of the Star and heard that track on the album last night and decided to throw it in there. The intro to the track is pretty misleading and it took a bit before I recognized that it was an arrange of one of my favorite tracks in Kirby's Adventure (which has an amazing soundtrack all round).

I almost left out the Donkey Kong Country tracks since I thought they'd just seem like more overexposure, but in the end, I decided to leave 'em in. Diddy's Kong Quest is also one of my favorite soundtracks.

Blue Water Blue Sky is definitely a good choice. Its sounds too damn outgoing and free spirited! A blast to listen to. But Art Museum, Metro City Subway and Mission 3 are the kings in this compilation! Gotta have some Ninja Turtles in there! (And a great track too) Not gunna say to much on Metro City Subway and Mission 3 because those two belong to legends in the Beat Em Up genre.=)

But whats this..... a The Bouncer Track!?! AWESOME and my favorite track too! Sion's Theme kicks like you wouldn't believe! And is the greatest song from that game. Too bad the others weren't as great as his theme..... but there all good. I hope they plan to make a sequel to it someday.

I was only able to DL 10 tracks and whenever I try to back to the site for the rest, I can't get them because I can never log back on. But what I heard was really great! I think all 10 of those tracks were completely new to me. The F-Zero Medely was awesome and I loved that rendition of FFVI's Decisive Battle. Looking forward to more stuff from you.

That's cool, Reg. I do the same thing for my personal enjoyment. And I would upload my compilations, but they all consist of tracks that can easily be downloaded here at the shrine. So I feel it's useless (no offense to you). But who knows. I may change my mind in the near future. I'd like to look into making single-track mixes. That would be cool.

I was going to make a third part involving songs from Volfess and Sengoku Gensoukyoku. But only 19 downloads from the first part and 10 from the second, says much.

I guess people didn't like it. Oh well..... One comment is good enough:)

Keep at it, man. You put together a good album. A lot of it was new to me but I still enjoyed it.

I've actually got some mammoth sized compilation albums in the works. I was inspired to get back into making these by some friends on the net.

I want to say that these compilations look great and I appreciate the effort that went into making them. I was planning on getting some Mario music, so when I saw this it seemed like a good way to grab some of the best tracks without having to search for a dozen or so albums.

I got the Best of Mario and Best of Mega Man, plus SNES Remastered and Smooth Gaming albums, and the Missing in Action album that someone else put up.

However, I do have one little quibble. With some of these soundtracks, I have a hard time knowing WHERE the songs came from. I mean with the Mario and Mega Man stuff some of it is obvious, but the more obscure songs leave me scratching my head. Throw in some remixes and it can be hard to identify where these songs are from.

That's especially true with the Smooth Gaming album and the Missing in Action album, where I like what I hear, but don't recognize where the songs are from.

Any possibility of some tracklists saying where the songs included are from?

I can get you a track list for smoothing gaming, sure. I was actually thinking of including a track list for all the compilation albums I do, but I didn't think it was needed. Seems I was wrong. =)

Glad you enjoy the compilations. The Best of albums are a lot of fun to do. I stumbled upon a few more songs for Best of Mario that I'm going to tag and add but instead of reuploading the whole thing, I'm just gonna throw in the missing tracks. Wish I'd found them sooner.

I'm currently working on Best of SONIC. I'd like to include a version of "Fastest Thing Alive" (The SatAM Sonic intro song)but the only mp3 I've found has all the sound effects playing in the background. At least I was able to find an mp3 of "Look Alike", a the ending song to Sonic the Hedgehog the Movie.

There are some old and "rarer than usual" albums in your thread.. so i got a 2 questions:

Did you rip them recently or they are just old encodes that were floating around the web for years..?

Would it be possible to post the quality of these albums, many of us probably doesn't want to download them and find out themselves these albums are not quality rips ?

Well, I'm not a tech junkie or a ripper. I just upload what I find. As long as what I hear sounds good than that's fine with me, though I do understand there are people that want their stuff in ultra high quality. However, I'm not one them. If it sounds decent, then that's good enough for me. I'm not at all saying this to be rude, just trying to be clear is all.

A lot of what I've uploaded has been on the net for a while, some of it is more recent. Much of what I've heard here sounds good but like I said before, I'm not a tech junkie, so others may have a better ear of what's more quality work than others.

Long story short, this rip is comprised of Battletoads (NES version - primarily from game, partly from NSF set), Battletoads (Genesis version - from the superior VGM set and NOT from the horrible GYM sets), Battletoads (Gameboy version - Emulator rip by me), Battletoads In Battlemaniacs (SNES SPC rip), Battletoads & Double Dragon (SNES SPC rip), Super Battletoads (Arcade - MAME rip by me) - all combined into one big ol' two disc set. I chose to ignore the Genesis version of B&DD because A) I felt the music was very subpar compared to the SNES version and nowhere near up to snuff of the previous Genesis game and B) Because it would have meant needing a 3rd disc with lots of padding which I didnt want.

I don't know about anyone else that owns the original album, but I highly recommend pitching it. It's plagued with uneven audio that is heard whether you're listening with headphones or not. GameGuy444's version is far superior. All the tracks are there and in high quality. I've waiting a long time to hear the Famicom version's FFII music properly and now I can.

I've searched for that one and it is pretty much impossible to find.

As for making these albums, the ones that are unofficial, I just take preexisting mp3s and arrange them in the order I like. Nothing fancy.

On Part 5, of your Metal Slug Collection
The Metal Slug 4 tracks
They are all mixed up! The Stage 1 song is like, the Last Stage Theme, Stage 3 theme is the Boss Theme, and so on. Any idea?

That could be a mistake that was made by the makers of the album. It happens sometimes. There's a similar problem with Salamander II score. Some misspelled track and one is mixed up completely.

Mediafire for some reason always ends up with corrupted files.
What you need to do is, Double click the Rar file, on the window go to Tools Menu, then Repair, and it will ask you where to output the rar, just click ok, a new archive will appeared called fixed"name of rar".RAR , extract files from there, and you should have no problems.

Thanks REG. Maybe it's a problem with my WIN RAR to extract this file, because extracting prob�cinco times over and over again and I kept throwing error in these two files. Anyway, very grateful above all for your good will and patience.
