May I suggest that you remove the alredy uploaded albums from your searchlist, because 1) it's useless, as you have them, you don't search for them anymore, 2) it makes the page longer to load, and 3) people may be confused and believe that you still seach for them.

Yes, I have seen the most series from World Masterpiece Theater, they are quite awesome, beautiful, but very sad, too. Most of them are animated from Books or from films and no-animation-series
Hehehe, they are all very lovely, but i give you a little hint, Romeo's Blue Skies is one of the best soundtracks...

Dog of Flanders is one of the saddest series, but so heartwarming, the bond between the dog Patrasche and the Boy Nelo was so really great *gushing*
I love this series, but the others are really great, too, warmhearting, delightful and slice of life...the series are advisable to watch

Hallo and thanks for sharing these beautiful soundtracks. I have some DVD Boxsets of the actual WMT series but the OST was something I had overlooked.

Is there an introductory thread in the forum because I cant find it?

A small correction: In the A Dog of Flanders special of 1975 OST, it is actually from the 1997 movie remake of the series, currently available in English dub, though edited by a few minutes.

I have the series "Marco","Dog of Flanders","Perrine", "Flone","Pollyanna", "Little Women", "Rascal", Princess Sara", "Trapp Family Singers" and "Tico". Those are from the cheap Taiwanese versions. Plus movie versions of "Lucy", "Remi", Bush Babies" and "Lassie" from Bandai. And the movie "Dog of Flanders" (Taiwanese version)

The rest I watched either from dubs (TV and DVD-rip), fansubs or streaming sites.

Wow, that's a lot, i have only the Marco-Box in german XD, maybe i will buy the Boxes to Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari or in english Little Women, but this haven't a ost, it's so shameful TT____TT

Hi,
I was looking the duration of this very-very unofficial ost and I was
asking me if this is related to the boy or girl anime version.
I discorevered the tracks are the same of the file reported by wolfed2002.
This is true if you bypass the file 18-33tBGM-A06-04-BGM ref M52 (La chanson de Remi - instrumental) and all the song in the unofficial one (If you pay attention at the duration of the tracks you noticed they are the same).
In conclusion though there are some indication that don't let you understand if that unofficial release is about the boy or girl ost I think it corresponds to the boy version.
It would be nice if one of us could get it, in the hope of having it in cd quality and with all the rest of the songs.

As you can see on the image of the cover is indicated it's the volume N� II.
Surfing on the web I've discovered that the two LP of this anime are as follows:

I Think There is an Image Songs CD for Ie Naki Ko Remi 1977, It Could be the one You Mentioned Marcomist2....
Image Songs Sung By Ayako Sawada and Some Italian Opera Songs Like the Beautiful "Fenesta Che Lucive" Which Was Sung By Sr. Vitalis in the Series...Still, I am not Sure About this CD!!!...
And in "Ie Naki Ko Remi Vol.2", I think not All the Pieces were inculded in the CD, Especially That Soft Flute Piece that Appeared When Sr. Vitalis Started to Lose His Sight....I Think This is One of the Most Effective and Sadistic Piece in the Series, Unfortunately it was'nt in the CD...

Do you know if there is a CD of the older Little Women series, made by Toei in 1981? Takeo Watanabe was the composer there too. I watched this series too and it had overall much better music than the 1987 version, though terrible animation (but OK for 1981)

I have my own Musical Analysis For Ie Naki Ko Remi Tracks….Especially the Piece I mentioned Previously, Which is not included in the CD….This Piece is- as you Said Petran79- Makes you Cry….I am my Self not a Person that Cries Easily But This Piece is A HeartBreaking…Why? Though I uploaded an audio file of the first two minutes of the series. It was from a recent good quality Satellite TV rip, from an Italian broadcaster.

You'll understand why this series has better music by listening to this. The Nippon Animation series won me over mainly when Beth's piano tunes were playing.

Yes, Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari from 1987 was/is really one of the most lovely soundtrack in the World Masterpiece Theater-Series

I would say, in order not to downgrade the older series, that Nippon Animation series has also better integration between animation and BGM (the better direction you mentioned earlier), thus making it more effective. Good animation means that too. A good commercial animator must also be well immersed in music. Because no matter how good the composer is, if the animation is stale it fails to win you over.Though I wouldnt go to the other extreme, making only musicals instead of a good feature.

I think Little Women and Princess Sara have the best soundtrack. Those series had the same director btw. Katri does not count since they took Sibelius tracks, though regarding integration of music, Katri is the best.

That is why the remastered series for DVD are an even better experience. Compare those to what we watched on monophone (and some decades ago monochrome) TV sets or VHS . Back then it was harder to pay attention to those details and one focused just on the story and the characters.

Now with the three recent titles (Les Miserables,Porphy and Before Green Gables) we moved to HD. But with the digital leap something got lost along the way perhaps impossible to be replaced. We'll see.


Btw the Little Women CD you mentioned, is actually an LP. So it seems it was not re-released as CD like with the rest of the titles. Because in the 90s titles, CD format was already established.

There is no need then. Though the release I found was 180 MB. But the first CD had music and dialogue from the series, while the second CD had only BGM. If it is only the second CD, no need to upload the first.

Thanks sisko :D, I appreciate it. Now I think I found a way to get all the soundtracks for Shonen Mowgli. Copy the audio from the episode, remove the vocals, and VOILA ! I'll try to work on it soon.

I wish you good luck for this, Ma$terPiece....because the sound of the episodes is in MONO format, and you're gonna have to remove dialogues, sounds effects, etc...and add different musics from different episodes to get one complete BGM...

because the Piano Version is included (the thing is, the Original Karaoke is also included in those albums along w/ the Original Version and the Piano Versions)

its confusing why 3Shiro did not include the original Karaoke/Off Vocals if he has those 2 Albums (instead he gave us the Piano and Instrumental Versions from the 3rd Album, i dunno if those really are from the 3rd Album from 12/21/96)

maybe because he doesn't really have the album?

but the Quality of the songs are just superb, those songs plays at 192 Kbps

i can't really tell what is going on here, im confused................

Funny it may seems, Ie Naki Ko Remi OST and Albums are from 1996-1997 (and the Last OST and Album works for WMT before they took a "Break" or "Hiatus" for 10 years)

and yet these OST of Ie Naki Ko Remi are the Hardest One to find (imho)

seems these OSTs (Ie Naki Ko Remi OSTs) are rather rarer than the other OSTs of WMT out there

well yeah, its not really a "Rare" album in Japan, that is in Japan, but outside of it is totally a different story

im not really basing the "Rarity" on the availability of those OSTs/Albums in one country, but on how "Often" do you see these OSTs/Albums in the Net (Frequently Download-able).

As far as I Know, Ie Naki Ko Remi OSTs are really the most "Rarest" OSTs i have encountered (well that is for Me, my Perception on how "Rare" this is)

i have been searching for Ie Naki Ko Remi OSTs for quite a while now, but still no luck

and about that "Confusion", yes i have seen those songs in tracks 17 and 18, maybe 3shiro only has the "3rd Album" w/c has 27 tracks

waiting for his reply might be the best idea for now

i guess if he had the 3rd OST of Ie Naki Ko Remi, then that means he also have the song "Okaasan" w/c is found in Track #8 (quite curious about this OST and Track #8 for a while)
