Glad to see you decided to make your own thread. You might wanna upload some of GoronMoron's rips. Other than that, how's about a good Mario Kart DS Rip? The ones that I've found, all have the Background vrrrrm! of the motor.

Well, this is really eXtremestrike's original DS music thread; I'm just taking over in a way :)

I'll have GoronMoron's rip in the second post as soon as I'm done cleaning up the first one; I'll go through the list and see which ones are still up, and I'll do my best to reupload the ones missing.

If I may I would like to request a rip of Tales of Hearts and/or Suikoden Tierkreis. I managed to extract the soundfile (.sdat) from ToH, but I don't know what to do with it; the DOS programs aren't working for me... :(

Does anyone have a Daigasso Band Brothers DX music rip? The game has some great classic music remixes.

Despite the extreme crappiness of the game itself, the OST to 'Red Bull BC One' (US and EU releases only) is actually quite impressive. It's something to look into if a soundfile ripper's looking for something different. ;D

Just my two cents; I love Clubhouse Games, it's my favorite DS game, simply because of the great times I've had with it playing all sorts of games with a bunch of DS-loving friends. It's a blast; if every DS owner had Clubhouse Games, the world would be a better place, seriously :)

The first post is up to date; all it needs is to be sorted alphabetically. GoronMoron's dead links were removed; I'll look for rips of those games and put them up eventually.

I did, however, upload a rip of Apollo Justice, all named and everything :) That one goes to The_Potato_Master.

By the way, TPM, any chance of a rip of Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades?

I know you used mediafire quite often, and they are as good as megaupload, or even better, but I noticed in your latest uploads that you went for filefactory, and to me it's sort of better using mediafire or another webpage which isn't that strict on downloading for non-registred user..

Well I can say for sure that there at least one missing. It the ending credit one. I don't feel like playing it again too see if there anymore. I can only tell the ending is missing because that where both of my saves are at(both Martel's & Emile's stories). Basically the ending is song 18(I think) but with lyrics.

The place you got the rips from have graphic ones too? Just wondering if they have any EO/II ones.

Agreed! Club House Games is so amazing that my three buddies and I always play it in my math class. We have a really laid-back teacher who doesn't care if what we do as long as we do the homework/get good grades on the quizzes (which we all do), so our time is always spent playing a little Bowling, Darts, Spit, Shake the Bottle, Memory Match, Dots and Boxes, a few other gems; and especially the built in PictoChat :P

Thanks man! :) As for rips, well according to some searching about on this forum, someone did up NMDS music before but the link was dead before I could grab it. FileFactory can be pretty lame at times.... Pac-Man VS has one of the best title tunes I've heard on the DS, speaking of which!

BTW, I was wondering if it was possible to rip the music from Space Invaders Extreme at all? I'm aware an official soundtrack exists, but it doesn't quite have ALL the tunes from the game itself, such as the little "Round Start" jingles. Of course, I do wonder whether SIE uses any kind of different/unique format for music that may make it harder to rip. I mean I couldn't find any typical media files in the PSP version's filesystem, which fills me with some worry.

I know it's a really crappy game with crappy music, but I've been looking for the music from Burnout Legends on DS for AGES and have come up with zilch, so this thread is the best chance I have. The DS version of Legends came with it's own unique music, as opposed to the licensed music from the PSP version, so yeah, it'd be very nice to have them. Thanks!

I finally found the full quality rip of Clubhouse Games; I fixed the link on the first post; it's now two links :)

It's great; it even has the chess theme in its perfect form :) This is my favorite DS game of all time; I can't recommend it enough. Great controls, single and multiplayer fun, tons of games to play, online play; it's perfect, every DS owner should have it.

BTW, some neat DS rips are coming. Here's a hint at one; it's...magnetic :)

I haven't seen a GBA music thread; it would be nice to have one, that's for sure. I know there are sites with tons of GBA rips, such as this one:

You can get Winamp plug-ins to play the GSF files. I couldn't put together a GBA music thread; I've got my hands more than full with DS music :)

Speaking of which...it's done; the first post is made of win, absolutely perfect (unless you notice a dead / broken link or something, please let me know). All that's left is for me to go through this thread and the old DS music thread and post all the requests that haven't been fulfilled in a list, and then we're all done.

I've also got some neat rip updates coming, so hang tight, and continue to make requests; I know, Retro Game Challenge, Picross DS, GTA:CW; I'm looking for those! :)

I noticed that there's a song missing from the Izuna 2 soundtrack. It's missing the regular 'boss' theme. It sounds a lot like 32, but instead of an infinitely looping 15 seconds, it has a 30-45 second loop. Any chance that can get included in the album or otherwise, it's the ONLY song I wanted out of the entire album. XD

Hey uhhh... I don't know what's up with some of the soundtracks. The first time I listened to Blue Dragon Plus and Bomberman DS, they were fine. The next day I go to listen and iTunes just skipped them. The files weren't moved, the little "!" didn't appear. It just totally skipped them. Uhhh.. i don't know what's up. >.<

Yeah, that is the official OST, but it still doesn't have all the songs of the game (I checked, it doesn't have, for example, the shop music [which is one of the best ;_;])

Still no N+, but the updates keep coming; any day now, hopefully.

Anyone knows how to rip music from a NDS ROM? Maybe I'll try ripping Taiko no Tatsujin DS 2 music.

There's a program called VGMTrans that can sometimes get the music from DS ROMs. I say sometimes because I tried using it a while back, before I upgraded to Vista, and couldn't use it too well. I know it works, though; GoronMoron did most of his DS rips using it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Vista, at all, so I can't do anything with it :(

This is an excellent collection of games, but I think Animal Crossing Wild World should be ripped from the data without sound effects for it to really qualify as an acceptable rip. Sound effects are bad.

sergioalb64, I found out through a Japanese site called "Falcom Daisuki!" that two tracks are missing from your Legacy of Ys: Books I & II rip, one of which is very famous among Ys fans.

They are:
Ys1 COMPLETE -Opening- (for Ys DS/Book I, originally from the PC game "Ys COMPLETE")

TO MAKE THE END OF BATTLE (for Ys II DS/Book II; this track is extremely well-known...in fact, it is one of Yuzo Koshiro's most popular Ys songs, and is basically the main theme song for Ys II. NO rip of an Ys II port is complete without it.)

NP. I've been working on a few rips of my own...namely a complete game rip of Diamond & Pearl, which I have also added to Wulava's tracks to hopefully produce a full-game rip of Platinum.

I also ran through the full 2SF rip of Ys 1 and 2....no sign of either song missing. I can only conclude that they are possibly embedded in the opening movies. Therefore...I need to play the game myself.

Hello. I would like to request Rhythm Paradise.
It's the European version of Rhythm Heaven and has besides the English songs also versions in German and French I really would like to have. Would be cool if someone who is able to rip this game could rip and upload. I already saw there are ROMs of it.^^

They're playable with vgmstream (http://www.hcs64.com/vgmstream.html). Although, right now there's clicking and popping sounds when they're played back, so you have to wait to a future version of either the files or the player.

I also ran through the full 2SF rip of Ys 1 and 2....no sign of either song missing. I can only conclude that they are possibly embedded in the opening movies.

They are. They're the same versions used in Ys I & II Complete. Not remixes.

Well, I used crappy MS Sound Recorder to do them so they came out as .wma files at 96kbit. I don't think it would make much of a difference if I made them 192kbit.

Either way for now, I'm going to take a break from recording. I am in the middle of finals at the moment.

As of now, the sound quality for the current best DS emulator is atrocious. (Note: Playing RH is on an emulator is terrible due to the controls.) I'll have to wait until I get my Acekard to see if other region specific games can even work. Thanks for keeping this thread going for a while, guys. Sorry I've been gone; I'm busy with some stuff, mostly building a good portfolio so I can snag a job after I graduate this September (Bachelor in Game Arts; yeah!).
