These are the soundtracks for the first two Professor Layton games, Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Professor Layton and Pandora's Box. Each CD contains tracks from the game as well as live tracks played by an orchestra and high quality versions of some of the game tracks. I got them from a torrent so don't ask me for FLAC. They are tagged in English. I'll keep an eye out for the third one when it comes out.

For anyone who hasn't played the games, the music is reminiscent of the Dark Cloud games with a European sound. While it is synthesized, it is quality and sounds like Tomohito Nishiura's Dark Cloud and Rogue Galaxy stuff.

Did he really contribute nothing to WKC?

Googling for Nishiura + WKC gives you plenty of hits stating he's working on it, but all the WKC tracks on the Level-5 x PlayStation Special Soundtrack were composed by Takeshi Inoue (of Jeanne d'Arc fame), and the music in all the gameplay footage I've seen were composed by Inoue as well. So did someone just decide that Nishiura was working on it, put it on Wikipedia, and caused the entire internet to take it as fact?

Certainly wouldn't be the first time.

Well they list him as working on the Level 5 X Playstation soundtrack which has his tracks from dark cloud and rogue galaxy.

Uhh...I posted the OST in my link for the third one and this version has 28 tracks while yours only had 26. Plus mine has english track names in the tags. I wanted to post all three in the same thread that I have gotten from the same source for consistency sake.

Indeed, I was saddened when I saw that the soundtrack only had the "Music Box" version, which still rocks but isn't the same as the music from the credits.

So for everyone who wish to get it, here is the instrumental version of Iris from Professor Layton and Pandora's Box that plays during the credit. It was recorded from my DS, directly from the earphone plug, so it probably won't be as nice as if it was ripped directly from the game, but still better than recorded with a crappy microphone.

You can't download more than one at a time. Just wait for it to finish and then start the next one.

Yeah, you can try working around with an anonymous proxy, but so far I haven't got it to work. In the end, I found it on torrent from isohunt, so maybe you can try that =)

Will likely be a while. Nintendo wants to space out the games for US release so that they can make the most out of it. So I wouldn't expect it until at least next Fall.

Ummm... Diabloical Box's track 17 doesn't work. It's the Iris music box.

Since I haven't played the third game yet (and won't for a while, I presume), I'll stick with the first two for now, but nonetheless thanks very much for posting these. It seems that a lot of people compare this kind of music to Dark Cloud, which I have a copy of but haven't played yet, so now I'm looking forward to that even more :p. Actually, after realizing it was the same composer as for Rogue Galaxy, I took another look at those songs and there did seem to be some similarities, though I can't remember them right now. Anyway, thanks :p
