In this thread I will update the progress for my rip in detail.

I'm done downloading the beta, and I have extracted all the audio from the archive files. They were in .wav format and I am currently converting the music files into mp3. This first release will be called Pack 1. The sound effects I will upload later in Pack 2.

Check for download links in this thread and in my game rip thread (follow the link in my signature).

P.S. I don't know who the composer is. Can anyone help out? Has the composer been announced yet? If so, who is it?

Good news. Pack 1's done converting, now all I need to do is to compress the files with WinRar and upload it. :)

Jeez. This score is even more electronic than CoD4. It's ambient/electronic/and a bit of rock. (Note that I say a bit) Orchestra is only a minor part of this score. So all you electronic fans....you're gonna have a good time. I'm done with pack 1 completely just need to wait till my internet's working to post it.

Grrr... I'm having a setback. I hope it'll be upped by tomorrow but I can't guarantee. MegaManager's screwed up, Rapidshare's too. I'm gonna have to stick with smaller files... Sigh.

World at War, Sean Murray's Composer Interview.


Trust me Ruffneck. Did you play multiplayer? There's music there too, you know. There's music in the campaign too.

Don't get me wrong, if someone is uploading something I can't get my hands on. I'm only humble and greatly thankful for that. I was just wondering, because I didn't heard that much of music while I was playing X360 Beta.

That's probably it, Ruffneck. I'm ripping it from the PC beta, not the 360 beta. PC games usually have more music. :)

By the way, I think I'm gonna have to upload small pieces for now. Not too small, but I dunno like 20 - 40 meg parts. I'm still testing how big my file can get before my internet gets screwed up. Expect a large release on Monday or Wednesday, I'm trying to get my stuff on a flash drive and upload it at school, but I'm not sure if they blocked the file sharing websites such as rapidshare, megaupload, etc. On the good side, they probably can't block ALL file hosting websites so I might have to upload on some random file hosting website. Hopefully they haven't blocked Badongo or filefactory either.

Bad news for you. Around the time you finished uploading this. Rapidcrap decided to start its new 10 downloads for non premium users rule. Rapidshare is dead.

I would like to hear all the sound effects, chatter, and ambient, but the link is not working right. All I can get is a 404 NOT FOUND page from Dropbox. :confused:

so in conclusion, where is what and where is what? awesome incredible thanks to you for ripping it btw :love: but only wondering about where is the ambient music, especially the menu music - im dying for it.

There wasn't a song especially labeled menu music, I don't know if there was menu music in the demo, if so, I don't know where it is, sorry.

Ambient music is kinda scattered about, sorry. Most of it is in the iw_02 and iw_03 folders, in the amb folder for iw_02 and in the backgrounds/level folders in iw_03. Most of the other stuff is music and voices/SFX.

thanks for this, just so you know Pietastesgood, next time you can use zshare.net, they offer up to 500mb files and theres no premium membership needed for downloading, its unlimited/simultaneous and its very fast.

All right, sure xocsucram. It's just that for the full rip it might be bigger than 500 megs. So far it looks like it might be around 1 gig... Whoa. I have finally got the raw files for the full game, I now need to convert them to mp3 from ogg and archive them.

Orangec you said you didn't want the SFX and voices and stuff. kkmc93 said he did. To satisfy both your wishes, I'll make separate uploads. First and most important upload will be Music, maybe late tonight or tomorrow. Second - Ambient. Third - Voices and Battlechatter. Fourth - SFX. I think that's it, but I may be wrong. Just listened to the credits track - awesome, not orchestral, metal/techno. Pretty damn awesome.

Edit: On second thought with the high 320 kb/s quality it'll be probably around 1.5 gigs.
