Another semi-request from another thread here...

This score, by the magnificent Bruce Broughton, is said to be the first orchestral score ever recorded for a game. I'm not quite sure this claim can be completely verified, so I'll just say that it's one of the earliest examples of an orchestral game score, and it's still one of the very best.

Broughton only has a 55-piece orchestra for this one - The Sinfonia Of London - and really makes every one of them count.

This was one of the first scores I purchased online a long while ago, it was relatively expensive. I played the demo of the game (not the one included on the CD itself) and was memorized by the opening credits. There's something about star fields that inspire composers I guess.

Yeah, the demo stroke me too. When I first heard it I was so impressed that I replayed it many times just for the music.

Wow this is still working. I was the among the first who played this great game.

One of the most fantastic music scores I have heard so far. I am not so optimistic about the existence of a better quality. However, made a very quick search. Was able to found scans. The music CD appearance is amazingly attractive. The colors are so related to the game story. Both the game and the music are among the unforgettable memories of the past. I really like this soundtrack. I recomend it to anyone , specially to those who have thing for Sinfonia of London , like my brother.
I am only sad that it is 34 minutes long. :( I wanted to hear more.
I never played the game before, but the music surely is so catchy and wonderfull. :)

I haven't played this game..but I know Bruce is the guy that did the score for Disney's the Rescuers Down Under. A good soundtrack. Thanks
