=========================================

Welcome one, welcome all, to my thread consisting primarily of lossless VGM downloads.

IMPORTANT ~ READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING

Lossless audio comes in many formats; FLAC, APE, WV, TTA (and more I may not know of). Thus, here's some help in playing these files if you have no idea whatsoever.

First, get foobar2000 (one of, if not THE best audio players available) right here (http://www.foobar2000.org/foobar2000_0.9.4.5.exe).

FLAC: Plays natively in foobar2000. You can get the FLAC encoder/decoder here (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/flac/flac-1.2.1b.exe).

APE: install this (http://foobar2000.com/components/foo_input_monkey.zip) plugin for foobar2000.

TTA: install this (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/tta/ttaplugin-foobar-2.4.2.zip?download) plugin for foobar2000.

WV: Plays natively in Foobar2000.

Please note, that some of the uploads here are actually single audio files, which you can play as separate tracks by dragging and dropping their respective cuesheet in foobar2000.

=========================================

The way this thread currently works is as such: the download links lead to the post where the download links were initially posted. You then click the links from there.

Pretty much all of the OST's are currently hosted on Filefactory, and are anonymized in the hopes of extending file life.

Please notify me IMMEDIATELY when links die, so that I (or one of the infinitely kind contributors) can go about reuploading the said OST's.

=========================================

DC++ 'DIRECT CONNECT'

In addition to downloading any OST's that appear on this page, I immensely recommend that what you do is download the P2P program 'DC++'. It's how I attain the OST's I do, aside from torrent. It is very easy to use, and is incredibly convenient. It is slot operated, as in, the users set a certain amount of slots by which other users may download from them; if all those slots are currently in use, you must wait until one frees in order to download, or you may PM the respective user and request very nicely that he grant you a download slot.

Download 'DC++' here (http://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/dcplusplus/DCPlusPlus-0.699.exe)

Here's a visual step by step picture tutorial to DC++ in 8 basic, easy steps for anyone interested in getting stuff from where I get stuff >> http://www.mediafire.com/?33ihdghad1z

Follow the steps carefully, and you'll be able to access 'VGM Central', comprised of many lossless VGM enthusiasts. One user in particular, 'Ultracain', has almost all Final Fantasy related OST's in lossless formats.

UNBELIEVABLE! Only one night and my upload's gone! O_O

I'm sorry my friend! Mediafire it is, then. How bloody dare they. I apologize, but you'll have to wait another night for disc one. It'll be here though, so check back tomorrow.

All OST's are ripped to WAV via EAC, using secure mode and accurate stream. The WAV files are then compressed into FLAC (level 8 compression). They are all untagged; I figured I'd leave that up to you.

Great idea. I have a question, though. Do you include the .cue sheet for each CD? This can be created when ripping the CD in EAC, and allows the original CD to be recreated. Very handy. :) I posted a bit more about this here (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showpost.php?p=898177&postcount=36).

Ahhh no, there are no cue sheets. I download them from other people via P2P, you see, and cue sheets aren't always included. What's the difference in burning with a cue sheet and not doing so? ^^ You've said it allows the original CD to be recreated, but if you're interested primarily in lossless quality, doesn't burning them with OR without a cue sheet yield an identical audio experience?

A cuesheet allows the recreation to be "mathematically correct". But the purists that care for that will probably think the FLAC encodes are useless anyway when there aren't any .log files with it that state the the files are *truly* lossless. Since oh boy oh boy, what if one byte is missing? It's the end of the world. People won't notice it from listening, but they still care.

Personally, I don't give a damn. I just wanna listen to lossless music. Should I want to backup this, I'd do it digitally.

Anyway, I'll be waiting for these uploads. These 3 OSTs should sound great in lossless quality. So thanks in advance! ^^

Well, apart from the Valkyrie Profile & Star Ocean 2, I'll do my best to make sure that any further OST's will have their cue and log intact. I will state which OST's do have these and which don't when I edit the post tomorrow. However, being abit of a purist myself, and having had the log files at one point (which I deleted due to the fact I didn't think I needed them), I can honestly say the track qualities were 100% perfect according to the logs. Try to trust me regarding Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean. If that's not enough, I apologize for tainting these two OST's. In my own time I'll painstakingly relocate them, re-download them, and upload them as they are, logs and all (that's if I can find the damn things again).

If you're only interested in listening to the tracks, then no, the CUE sheets are unimportant. If you're interested in backing up your CDs in addition to listening to them, or recovering/recreating CDs that you had previously bought but have been stolen or damaged, then CUE sheets are extremely helpful. As you suggested, it pretty much depends on your goals.
'
Thanks for answering my question, though. :-)

Edit:

Oh, and the difference between burning a disc with and without a CUE sheet is that the CUE sheet allows the original CD structure to be recreated. So, for example, if I rip a CD, create a CUE sheet, then burn it with that CUE sheet, I can pop that burned CD in any CD-ROM drive and CDDB, etc. will recognize it just as if it were the original. Simply burning back the FLACs/WAVs/etc. without a CUE sheet results in a "new" disc that is unknown. Again, it all depends on your preferences and goals.

I see! ^^ I had not previously known this was the case =) From now on I'll keep an eye out for cue sheets just for the sake of it, although I don't personally mind if my CD isn't a perfect recreation. I personally am only interested in the log files, but for the sake of other peoples goals, I'll try my best to find versions with both logs and cues.

Speaking of log files; for every CD I upload, I'll upload the log and cue files separately, so that you can download and check them out BEFORE you download the actual OST's, to see if they're accurate enough for you. How's that? Considering I don't rip these OST's myself, I can't do much if there isn't a cue accompanying the OST, BUT I'll only settle for uploading logless/cueless versions if they're all I can find after extensive searching.

That will be cool if you can add the dead rising OST.

I'll see if I can find that for you ^^ I'll notify you if I succeed, but remember; my upload speed is terribly slow, so it takes several hours to upload lossless material, and I can't be here all day =) Remember patience my friends xD

That won't really work... If the log files contain errors, then obviously something went wrong. But even if the log files states everything is OK, something could've gone wrong. To check that, you need to convert the FLAC back into WAV, and compare the CRC32 checksum (looks like this 2879C8E8) with the one in the logfile. So people are gonna have to download the FLAC anyway, since nobody would upload a log file with errors.

I see ^^ Scrap the previous then. Thank all of you for informing me as you have =) I'll extensively check them to see if they're all perfect then ^^

Note; I'm having alot of upload trouble today. Things haven't been going well. Valkyrie Profile I've split into four 100 mb pieces, and I got the first two up last night. The third one isn't going so well, because Mediafire's been strange all day long. I simply cannot help this. On top of that, my internet connection has been going out quite frequently. This again I cannot help. I ask you all be patient until I can get these files up. It's out of my control, though.

Also; my friends are coming tonight so I'm unable to tend to uploads, but I'll see what I can do.

I apologize things haven't gone as smoothly as I'd hoped with this. It's pretty pathetic to have a thread up claiming lossless downloads, and then not actually having any available xD I should've started this thread once I actually had some OST's up already, but I suppose it's better to let people know what I'm going to have here, ne? Please have patience, and things will start going smoothly soon enough.

How do I do check the wav checksums, precisely? I tried this; decompress the FLAC, then mount the cue to a virtual drive, open EAC, and all the audio tracks appear. Then I test all the tracks, and their CRC32 appears after testing. Then I'd compare them with the CRC32 checksums in the log file. Is this how I check wavs checksums? Or is there a simpler way about it?

Isn't there only one checksum in the log file? Well, there should be if it's a single WAV (and the cuesheet acts as an index to that WAV). If so, you only need to find the checksum of the WAV and compare it to the one in the log file. For seperate files an SFV generator like hkSFV (http://www.download.com/HkSFV/3000-2248_4-10157350.html)(freeware) is recommended since it can quickly generate a list of checksums of selected files. If you want to check seperate files manually you can use CheckCRC (http://www34.brinkster.com/dizzyk/download/CheckCRC.zip) (also free). But mounting the cuesheet shouldn't be necessary.

What I'm trying to check is Final Fantasy IX Piano Collections. As I downloaded it, it came with a log, cue, and separated FLAC files. The log has stated them all to be separate as well. I've encountered single wav files with cues, but I usually mount the cue, then rip the tracks back as separate tracks for listening and so on.

However, I've decompressed the Final Fantasy IX Piano Collections files back to wav. Then I checked their CRC's with checkCRC, and they are completely different from those in the log file. So, I guess there's been some errors along the way huh? I then tried to rip a random music cd of mine, just to test. I ripped the wav directly to my desktop, saved the log, then checked the wav's CRC with checkCRC, and strangely enough, the CRC generated by checkCRC was entirely different from the freshly created log file. This doesn't make sense to me. Why, if I had JUST ripped a clean, untouched wav, does it register a different CRC than the log file?

Note: Valkyrie Profile CD1 finally up.

Also, I still need help with the difficulty I've posted above xD

News; tomorrow I should be upgrading my internet connection, so hopefully I'll be able to upload everything at about 300 kb per second, which will be grand. The time it takes for the ISP to upgrade my connection will probably be two or three days from tomorrow, so I'll hold on the uploads till my connections been upgraded, and then I'll slap those OST's down all at once if possible.

FileFactory has deleted a bunch of my files before. No host is really safe anymore. I'm not really sure how they pick the files they delete. Maybe they keep track of the referrer (so using a service like http://anonym.to might help). Or maybe there was just an evil user that reported the files. Using arbitrary file names might also help. Some files get deleted in a week, others stay forever.

I can re-upload the FFIX Piano Collections later if you want.

Hmmm...this is particularly difficult. Over in NZ, you can't afford to download or upload forever. They charge you big for exceeding your limits. It's really hard when you're uploading at your own expense, and can't even trust that your files won't be knocked out O_O

I'd like to think someone wasn't reporting my files, but anyone's able to I guess. I tried an arbitrary sort of file name for the Piano Collections OST; ''ffix-pc'' but that also went right down the drain along with the rest of them. I'm unsure of what do right now O_o It wouldn't really be an issue if I didn't have to fork out ten dollars for every extra five GB I used over my limit.

Given the immediacy in which my files have been deleted, both from Megaupload and now Mediafire, I'm inclined to believe someone's being a snitch. Though, the 'keeping an eye on the referrer' idea is also entirely feasible. We are a community of illegitimate downloads, after all. It's a good way to deter people with my connection type, for sure.

If you upload that Piano Collections OST, that'd be fantastic. It'd help out ^^

Ah well, you can count on me to re-upload your stuff when it gets deleted. My upload speed is about 800 KByte/sec (no file hosting service seems to allow me to upload with that speed, but it's still pretty fast) and I don't have any bandwidth limits. So it's not really a problem for me. I'll upload the piano collections when I get home.

I don't like massmirror, personally. You need to keep your files under 100 MB otherwise some of the hosts will refuse them, and if you lose the links you lose the files. I like to have an account where I can organize all my files in folders. But I guess it is the best site to use when you have bandwidth limits.

Yeah, I just recently changed my sig because MediaFire unfortunately hates us too! It removed my downloads on several different sites. :( I'm not sure why this is because we're exchanging non-mainstream music that would be difficult or even impossible to own since it's not sold outside of its country. Well anyway it seems that I'll have to continue my search for a reliable file hosting site, I will take Sarah's advice and try out MassMirror though.

With all of that aside I'd like to say that this is the thread for me. :D I thought about starting a thread like this awhile ago but it seems that you beat me to it. I love lossless video game music and I sometimes go out of my way to get it.

Give me some time and I might be able to contribute quite a bit to this thread. I've got most everything that fast_eddie posted in his thread before MegaButtload removed the contents and fast_eddie suddenly disappeared. If you're wondering what I'm talking about it's a bunch of Final Fantasy music in FLAC lossless.

Let's try to keep this thread alive unlike that last one. :D

Welcome Cyberspark ^^ It's good to see you here. I knew you'd pop up eventually, as I've seen you around and about requesting lossless downloads ^^ If you're able to upload any of that stuff, that'd be fantastic. I'm able to get the Final Fantasy 7 and 8 OST's in lossless. Do you have those?

And Axersia, if mirroring my OST's really isn't a problem, I thank you dearly for offering ^^ It'll really help this thread out. It's a decent plan. I upload the rare stuff, you become the reliable mirror (at your own discretion of course). There's no weight of expectancy on you, so mirror as you please, when you please ^^

We'll keep this thread aliiiiive.

EDIT: Another thing about my connection; I'm unable to download from P2P sharing programs during certain hours, namely, when the network is congested. I can try to start them up, but they won't connect or anything. I can only typically download from P2P either overnight, or from the early morning hours up until four in the afternoon. Anything outside that, and I'm restricted to direct http downloads. Just another foul disadvantage of New Zealand's stone age internet. Due to the fact I find all my lossless OST's via P2P, the OST's won't come as fast as I'd like, but they come fast enough. Remember, patience ^^ I'm doing the best I can despite this garbage ^^

Most, if not all, of the stuff I'm uploading has no log or cue either. I can generate a 'false' log which will give me the track qualities just to see what they are, but it wouldn't be 'official'. I've got another piano collection for all of ya:

Piano Collections Final Fantasy VII (http://www.filefactory.com/file/934a01/)

I got this awhile ago from a torrent and the log, cue sheet and booklets are all included. Hope you all enjoy this one too.

Thank you again! =) You're so cool man! ^^

It's fantastic to have contributors like you and Axersia, who're interested in lossless music and who take it seriously. I consider you guys co-owners of this thread ^^ Thanks alot dude =)

Mwahaah, currently uploading disc 1 of Castlevania - Lament Of Innocence. Shadow Of The Colossus to come after ^^

Co-owner? wow, thanks. Hey so how's that Shadow Of The Colossus soundtrack? I haven't been able to listen to it before. What other soundtrack might you compare it to?

Well anyway you did say at the beginning of this thread that we could make requests, so I'm going to request the impossible yet again:
Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack Complete Box (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=TOCT-26221%7E9) (9-disc set) in FLAC lossless. Well it was worth a try.

*Whistles* Pheeewww! 9 Discs! I'll see if I can find that! If I do, it'll probably take a good week or so to pull, and like with the Soul Calibur OST's, I'll keep you posted on them if I do find them ^^

Shadow Of The Colossus sounds like...hmmm, well, an epic movie soundtrack I guess. What I'll do, is upload a track for you (my favorite) as mp3 so you can test it out ^^ I'll do that a little later on, cause right now I've gotta go and do some household stuff ^^ I'll edit this post with the link when I come back.

Shadow Of The Colossus OST now up ^^

Note to anyone who's going to upload: If you're going to upload an OST of your own will that isn't a mirror of anything I've uploaded, make sure you're prepared to 'maintain' it. As I've made known, I have download limits, and so I have to prioritize what I download and what I choose to upload/re-upload. The things I choose to upload/re-upload and download are predominantly my own OST's, not the ones uploaded independently by others, although, if none of my OST's are down, then I'll happily back up collaborator OST's. I just need to be careful about what I do with my limits.

I do expect that people uploading independently maintain their own OST's in the primary sense (ie, re-uploading when their OST's either expire or are removed), and then mine afterward IF THEY WANT. Also, the time will soon come where I need to slow down on my bandwidth consumption and wait for next month (when it renews itself and a new billing cycle starts). I'll let you know when that is ^^

So is this gonna be the collective lossless VGM thread now? If so you can add my uploads too:

CD2
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php/-1099653342/DISC2.zip
Gigasize is pretty slow. I'll have to re-upload these again someday.

Disgaea 2 Cursed Memories ~Best of Soundtrack~ - Tenpei Sato
1 - http://www.filefactory.com/file/c7cd28
2 - http://www.filefactory.com/file/f59a97

All in FLAC format. The latter 2 were actually ripped by myself, but I didn't bother to make a cuesheet/log. The others also don't contain any.

I'll upload The Best of Grandia later. It was originally ripped and uploaded by teblad (http://forums.ffshrine.org/member.php?u=99097), but all her (mediafire) links died. She also uploaded a bunch some other lossless VGM, so hopefully she'll re-upload them again someday.

Just wondering, should we add other people's uploads too (or at least post links to their respective topics) so this can become the official lossless VGM index thread?

EDIT: Whoa, looks like filefactory finally added a download limit. I only downloaded the first part of Castlevania and have to wait a 100 minutes.

Big Blue (http://208.53.158.138/soundtracks/f-zero-arranged/nsvejqoyos/02-big-blue.mp3)

I'm also interested in lossless Kingdom Hearts music. I know an ape+cue rip was released on torrent awhile ago, but I never got to download it, and now it's pretty much dead. The 9 disc complete set is superior to the seperate OSTs since it contains unreleased tracks and longer loop times, but any OST will do.

Of course, there's no rush. I don't expect you to pay to download music. But I just wanted to let you know there are at least two people interested in it.

I might buy (and upload) the 9 disc boxset myself in the near future since I'm a huge KH fan and I've wanted to add it to my collection for a while now. It depends on how much money I get for my birthday next month.

Also, I'll probably rip and upload the "Best of" OST from Persona 3 soon (whenever I feel like configuring EAC properly).

If at all possible, could someone upload a lossless (.flac, .aiff, .wav, or .m4a formats I can handle) Final Fantasy X: Piano Collections?

Do you mean that you have FFX Piano Collections or that you also wish for it? ^^

Soul Calibur comes with a log, some info file, and an MD5 file.

Soul Calibur 2 comes with log and cue.

Soul Calibur three comes with neither.

Sorry I meant to say that I wish to have this as well. I have other Final Fantasy X music but I'll have to sift through it to see what exactly.

No need for apologies my good man ^^

I don't necessarily get them from different sources. In the case of Soul Calibur, I'm getting them all from the one user; but, they may have in turn gotten them from different sources, or maybe not. I try to find versions with logs and cues, but it isn't often the case, and I just take what I can get ^^

As for me, I have access to about 35 or so Final Fantasy FLAC OST's, including those of pretty much all the main games (except FFIX), all the Piano Collections, the Vocal Collections, The Black Mages, and so on and so on. I have one question: Did you have any trouble decompressing the files with 7zip? I ask because whenever I try to decompress Chrono Symphonic part1 and part2 7zip tells me that the files are broken or corrupt. Are you having this same problem? I'll re-upload if that's the case.

Hey I would appreciate you uploading the Klonoa OST again. I downloaded it before but accidentally deleted it. ^^;; I did re-upload the Grandia Best of OST for you as you may or may not have seen. I'd also appreciate the SOTN OST since I never managed to get it last time.

I personally don't care about the cuesheet (except if the rip is a single file, since I won't be able to play it as seperate tracks in foobar2000 otherwise), but if you're gonna go that route, don't forget the log file also. And you'll need to look up a good tutorial on configuring EAC, since just hitting the "Rip to WAV" button won't do.

Filefactory has been good so far. The only thing in this topic that got deleted was my Atelier Iris 2 Bonus OST (which I just noticed), but I had that posted somewhere else too without an anonymizer (and it could've just expired, I never keep track of stats). So I'll re-rip that (and the Persona 3 Best of OST too) someday...

But yeah, it seems pretty safe. You could also upload them to uppTagg's FTP. And then I'll download them and upload them to Filefactory myself. :P

Ahh, sorry guys, I've been really busy lately =)

Okaaaay, so let's see what's going on here...I'll be moving those links of yours to the main, Axersia ^^

Oh, and I have to re-up Castlevania. Mwahaha xD Damn bandwidth. Each day drags past ever so slowly when you're waiting for it to renew. I need to ban my brother from downloading somehow.

Oh, and, considering that the main post is starting to grow quite considerably; I was thinking of ways to make it tidier and easier on the eye. One idea I had, was to have the links to the files within the actual OST name, not separate from it. You'd click the name of the OST, then it'd take you to a text file download, and the links would be in that text file (which would be anonymized of course). That would mean that the files themselves will utterly escape the 'referrer' problem, right? It'd really really make things alot smoother and simpler looking, thus making the page easier to navigate. What do you girls / guys think?

teblad
11-15-2007, 01:59 PM
Death Wish, that about putting the links in a text file to avoid referrer problems is pretty clever. I can imagine it would mean a bit of extra work for downloaders, but it's totally worth it if we can stop links from being deleted. Maybe we can upload our links as text files via an anonymizer on filefactory, and the links themselves can be to mediafire or other hosts with better download limits :D. HEY THIS MAY ACTUALLY WORK, WE CAN START USING WHATEVER HOST WE WANT AGAIN! *dances around in joy* :D :D :D

And, uh, it seems my internet (at home) is down for several days. I'll be online maybe like 5 minutes sometime tomorrow and then I'll be gone until next week, probably. I guess my uploads will have to wait :(

It is a little extra work, but seriously, if anyone seriously complained about having to download one simple text file first, I'd be like...O_o...'you're getting these lossless OST's for FREE, and yet you can't help but moan about something xD'.

The idea of putting the links in a text file sounds OK, but it's kind of a pain to actually download those from a file hosting service. People could just attach the text file to their own post (not sure if search engines would be able to pick them up though...), so you only have to click once to open it. But I guess mediafire is also fast enough since it doesn't have a CAPTCHA gate.

If you just want to make the main post cleaner you could also link the OST name to the post it was posted in. It would be less maintenance work for you should the links die, and people would be able to add album art, tracklistings, and other info.

Maybe useful to note: a referrer is only a referrer if a link was clicked. By copy pasting a link to the address bar the site will not know where you came from. So putting a link between CODE tags (thus, forcing people to copy paste) would also work as an anonymizer (but they're not protected anymore by ffshrine's link protector).

Oh, and I'll re-up Castlevania LoI later. ^^

Are you using Windows Vista? Since Vista's always to blame if you use it. :P Maybe you should try not compressing them? I never do. It strains my CPU too much. And if you're downloading lossless music, you shouldn't mind downloading a few extra MBs. Difference is very minimal since FLAC does most compression already. Or maybe try a different application like ALZip (http://www.altools.net/ALTools/ALZip/tabid/53/Default.aspx).

As for me, I'm uploading Castlevania Lament Of Innocence Disc 2 finally, and I also have game rips of the games 'Digimon Rumble Arena' and 'Destrega' for the PSX in FLAC, made by myself respectively ^^ Digimon has a VERY good soundtrack in my opinion, despite being Digimon (which I thought was pretty cool anyway, the movies atleast). Some really good guitar based tracks ^^ And it has some cool melodic hero time tunes as well xD Man I love those.

Destrega is this classic fighting game made by Koei back in 1998, where you run about zapping an opponent with cool energy blasts xD It has a pretty good OST, some dramatic hero time tracks and whatnot.

Both OST's are about 200 mb each, so yeah, I'll get them up tomorrow ^^ My bandwidths almost back, just three more days mehahahahaa *witch cackling xD*

That's true ^^ But, I tried to attach five link files and it has a limit as to how many you can attach, so...if you were to do the text attachment thing, eventually after many OST links, you wouldn't be able to attach files to posts anymore (unless of course you removed, which isn't going to work xD)

It's easier on you guys if you upload, post the links as usual, then leave me to do all the text file work for you ^^ I'll just slap the texts on mediafire, the download only takes about 10 seconds, so no one should really complain I don't think?

This is a little over 900MBs worth of music. Axersia could I ask you a favor? Could you please mirror this download once you've checked to make sure that all of my files went through OK? If anyone's having trouble extracting the files please tell me which ones and I'll upload those individually. So far I've extracted them all without a single problem.

Well I hope you all enjoy this.

But DeathWish, if you upload the text files on mediafire, mediafire might delete those links. Maybe you can just collect everything inside the text files into one single big document that you attach to the first post?

Hey Axersia could you please re-upload the song "15-Seymour Battle" from Final Fantasy X (Disc4)? It says that that file is corrupt/broken. I've extracted all of the CDs and that's the only song that didn't go through. Sorry to bother you with this.

Also, I got the FFIX OST from uppTagg's FTP, but I can't seem to get the second track from the second disc so I haven't uploaded it. Not sure if it's my FTP client or something else.

Could you maybe upload it separately uppTagg?

Don't worry if it's not totally PERFECT ^^ From what I read on the hydrogenaudio forums, an utterly 100% copy of any music is impossible because of some random stuff I can't remember. Just rip it in the best way you can according to a decent ripping guide, and we'll appreciate it because it's lossless =) So if you could do that, we'd really be grateful, considering Crisis Core is a fantastic OST.

I can login to mediafire with no problem. I would like us all to go back to mediafire, because filefactory has not only a captcha but a download limit. Download limits for people with slow internet connections (= me) mean this scenario:

I click the download button.
I wait 2 hours for the file to download.
I wait 3 hours for the limit to reset. By this time it's about 2 am in the morning and I'm busy getting my beauty sleep. At day I'm not at home, so I have to wait to about 5 pm in the afternoon when I'm at the computer again.
After, say, four days, Chrono Cross OST is finally on my computer, and I can go on to the next thing I want to download.

I will continue using mediafire for my uploads, as long as the link anonymizing works. I can only pray for that you other guys will follow my lead...

EDIT: I'm not meaning to complain or anything. This thread still rocks. :coolegg:

Ahh, worry not, I don't take it as complaining! I understand the pains of download limits =/ It's pretty annoying, although they do make sense, considering that unlimited downloads probably strain their servers a tonne.

We've all tried Mediafire, yet it just seems to own us for free even with anonymization. I anonymized heaps of stuff on there and now my account's totally gone. I hate to say it, but they're ON to us, and it seems as though they want us all to suffer the futility of uploading massive files only to have them deleted within a day. From my personal experience, I'm quite loathe to return there you see O_O Other people can if they like? You can if you like, if it seems to be working for you, but others of us probably won't follow along because seeing our uploads (mine in particular with my limits) axed immediately is pretty heartbreaking xD

It is a bit annoying having to wait 2 hours between files. I usually only download 2 files a day because of it. But it's still better than having your account deleted and 20GB of data with it. So I'm not going back to mediafire.

It is a bit annoying having to wait 2 hours between files. I usually only download 2 files a day because of it. But it's still better than having your account deleted and 20GB of data with it. So I'm not going back to mediafire.

Amen. I hate DL limits too, but arrrgh...atleast they stay for a while.

teblad, my heart bleeds for you :( I can't tell you what the problem is though. Which disc of Castlevania is broken, by the way? Oh, and I have all the POTC's...but hmmm, what other movies. I guess, Gladiator....uhh....The Last Samurai's not too bad either. Movies with dramatic as scores like that ^^ Time Machine was also pretty alright, by Klaus Badelt of course, composer of the first POTC soundtrack, which just so happens to be the best of the three (in my opinion). Hans Zimmer's works seem lackluster in comparison (once again in my opinion xD). Though he does have some epics, his POTC works aren't as consistently grand as Klaus Badelt's in 'The Curse Of The Black Pearl'. Okay, now I'm talking shit xD

And uppTagg, you are a legend among mortals. You shall be added to the main post :)

That Digimon OST is surprisingly good for a Digimon based game. Tracks 8 to 14 are the best ones in my opinion, they just change from then on and become all energetic and include mad guitar xD Note, it's a game rip, tagged ordered and bla bla by myself. I just called all the stage themes 'battle I, battle II, battle III', and so on, because in playing through the game and testing it all out, I found the themes play at random, as in, there doesn't at all seem to be any themes designated to specific characters. Thus they're simply 'battle themes' and so on. Hahaha, listen to battle XIII, it's such a cheesy dramatic hero time theme, I LOVE it xD

As for the Destrega OST, it follows the same format, but the stage tracks are actually just called 'battle 1 - 8' in the sound test mode in the game, so yeah xD I name them with roman numerals cause it looks better to me, but hey, your OST's my friends, do what the hell you like to 'em xD I just tried to make them as neat and consistent as possible. I even had to clock the games to look at the credits and see who composed the music xD

Looks like filefactory deleted some stuff again (at least Star Ocean, Clannad and Disgaea). It made me wonder how long files last without being downloaded anyway. Turns out it's only 7 days, which is really, really short.

It's also been almost impossible for me to download anything from filefactory. I constantly get the "slots are full" message, and when I do get in, the download just times out eventually. I still haven't gotten the Chrono stuff. So I'm really not sure if I should continuing uploading to it... Not that I know any other sites that would be a better choice.

Fear not, I am trying =) I leave the download on constantly waiting for the source to come back. I'm dependant on the user who actually has the files to log on, so until they do, we'll have to wait unless I can find another source, and believe me sir, I'm searching ^^

CyberSpark, Soul Calibur is also subject to the same concept. I'm reliant on the user/source to come online to get the files, but worry not, it should be soon enough! And I understand your want for SC2 first xD I consider it the best of the three myself, music wise ^^

--Request--

It's no problem ^^

As for your other requests as well as anyone elses, I'll keep searching every day on the program I use just incase they pop up, but I can't guarantee anything. I'll notify you guys if I find them though, as with any other OST's that have been requested. If I find them I'll let you guys know immediately, otherwise I haven't found them :) Mwahah, just to let you know.

Also, remember that I can only use this downloading prog between the hours of about 2am to 4pm in the afternoon. I go to bed at about 10:30pm so I don't get a chance to download at night because I'm not up late enough, and I wake up at about 7 or 8am in the morning, and have about 5 hours to get all I can in terms of both up and downloads before I leave at about 11:30 to go and do stuff, like clean and practice my guitar and exercise and stuff. So typically, my OST downloading frame is only about 5 hours a day. I can't leave downloads on while I'm away either, because my brother's here and in this house, if you get off the PC, it's someone else's turn; it's just an unwritten rule.

All that is just to let you guys know, rather than seem like I'm being lazy or incompetent with your requests. I promise you I really am trying to find you guys the stuff you're asking for. I just have weird limitations, both connection and practically based =)

Yes, you need to download them all (except for scans) and extract them with WinRAR.

You can play TTA (True Audio) files with foobar2000.

Also, I just downloaded the FFTA2 OST, so I'll upload that later after I finish Culdcept II. I'm currently also downloading the ASH Archaic Sealed Heat OST, but the torrent is kinda shaky so don't get your hopes up. Should've downloaded it sooner... Umm may i request just one track. It's called " Lost Painiting" please?
It's the only track i really want in flac. >_<

Sure, here (http://www.filefactory.com/file/56654d/) ya go. ^^

Also, anyone else think this topic deserves a 5-star rating? Come on Sarah (http://forums.ffshrine.org/member.php?u=4) (at least, I think it has to be a mod, since I have no idea how to rate a topic), give us one! It has enough FF music to back it up! ><

Speaking of FF, next up is FFTA2.

Hahah, I reckon, where's the love? xD

Hahah, I've got disc one of that F-ZERO AX-GX arranged OST too. Them users are being a bother and not coming back online so I can reap all those tasty OST's though xD Damn it, they're probably on Christmas holiday or something haha, they all have lives.

there is one song in particular on this OST that I really love, it is a new song for this game. I'm pretty sure it's by Hitoshi Sakimoto, as it gives me the chills as only he can.. Click this link, and listen to it for a few minutes:

Awesome! I'm finally back, and thanks a lot Death Wish for the Soul Calibur albums. Although it's not Soul Calibur II it is my second favorite Soul Calibur OST (Downloading immediately).

Axersia I was actually going to upload Smashing...Live! Live Orchesta Music in FLAC with cue sheet but if it's fine without I'll just find something else to upload.

Oh yeah and I too would like to know how to make this a 5 star rated thread. I looked around for the setting but I wasn't able to find it.

*Sigh* :( FileFactory is acting up, it's turning out to be the next MegaUpload. Recently I've only been able to download 1 part of and album every 90 minutes and I'm no longer able to download more then one file at a time. Well I guess I should have known that this was going to come.

They must've had to change things around to cope with the immense transfer loads they're getting xD It's pretty annoying I know, I have to wait 58 minutes all the time, but ahhh, as you say in situations like these; 'better than nothing' xD

Oh, and you're welcome for SC3 ^^ I'm getting disc one of that F-Zero AX-GX OST up now. Man, I seriously didn't expect that it'd be so tedious to get these OST's from people (in respect to me fulfilling requests), but hey, what can you do ^^ Just wait...and wait.
