Well, I was hoping to up a complete soundtrack, but this was the best I could do. This collection includes the opening, all stage music, credits, and a bgm which I can't classify. I think it's stage music, but I'm not sure (there's only 8 stages I've confirmed, yet I have 9 stage bgms).

I've even taken the time to play the game on hard mode to unlock the sound test mode, but it only gave me the same music I was able to rip.

The program is PSXMC and the files were ripped to WAV and then converted to MP3. Hope this is good enough ...

... until someone else is able to do a beter job. I think someone else here has it on a project forum or something.

Sadly, i don't remember. Unlike most games, I didn't really focus much attention on the music, but certain tracks like the menu & select screen seemed the same. Too bad I was never able to rip the menu & select music from GBA2.

could you get the menu and or select via emulator + audacity? those are the only tracks i care about lol. either way thanks a ton. this has been requested numerous times with no upload.

I've tried numerous times to make an emulator work, and the only success I've ever had was on Fatal Fury Wild Ambition. I've never been able to make any other games work (which sucks because I've always wanted Battle Sabers).

What did you use for the ripping? I usualy used Sengu tool's PSMplay. That is how I ripped my copy of the OST before I lost my old copy of the game, and when my PC crashed I couldn't get the rest.

Oh, if that is the case, then the tracks are likely in the playstation soundformat aka "PSF". There is a plugin for winamp that lets people listen to a converted PC form of that audiofile through that program, such as FFTactics and Armored Core Silent Line. Still, I have no clue as to how to convert such a format to MP3. Oh well.

Hey, Sliat, are you interested in ripping the music from Dynasty Warriors: Gundam? There aren't too many tracks there either.

1) Don't have the game, sorry.
2) Um, what's that? A Gundam fighting game a la Dynasty Warriors, I assume? Still, I'm unfamiliar with the Dynasty Warriors series.
3) Don't have a rom either to try it out in my programs.

I have no means to rip the extras. I had the intention of running an emulator with the game to try and record in-game, but so far the results are unsatisfactory, as I still have voice and/or effects in the audio.

I had completly forgotten about that! I had bought a new computer and had in-line jacks, but forgot that GBA2 was something I needed to finish. Thanks. But how did you do the player select without voices? Could you do it for the winning, versus, and dialogue themes too, I'm curious?

Well the player select is one of those occasional songs in a soundtrack that completely loops on its own.
It doesnt follow the Intro + Loop format. It's just Loop. So I basically cut out the first loop and recorded extra from then on. I'm sure most people will flinch and then be pleasantly surprised when they listen to it :). Funny how no one thought to do that before.

So no I can't do it for the other themes like victory since they do the Intro then Loop format which overlaps with the voice :/ . Just got lucky on this one

Nice job. Now all that's missing are the victory music and the story music. But even if they were to be recorded in-game, there's no way to take out the speeches ("Wealth and glory to the winner" ... can do without).
