Does anyone have the Transformers movie OST available via MegaUpload in RAR format?

Thanks!

The actual score hasn't been released yet(although rumors persist it will hit on the 25th, but I haven't seen anything like that), but if you're looking for the soundtrack album, it has been posted in this thread.

I was going to say the same thing. It seems like the score release is cloudy at best, so I won't be shocked if it's not released. Frankly, it should be as the score for the movie was really good, and there are probably millions of people itching to get their hands on it.

To be honest, film scores are often a great deal better than the soundtracks. If it were up to me, I'd rather listen to the music that sets the mood for each scene than the director's mixtape, especially in this case where the soundtrack really isn't that good to begin with.

I agree 100%. The amount of times that a score has been neglected in favor of the "Music And Inspired By" album is ridiculous. I know the film score market is still technically a niche market, but come on. They have to know that if you put it out there and make it available, people will buy it.

But yeah, shame about the TF score taking forever to get out.

I remember the first time I wanted a score was the first Michael Keaton Batman movie. My birthday rolled around and I asked for the soundtrack to the movie, not knowing what a film score was when I was a kid.

I was sorely disappointed. I didn't like Prince that much at the time, and it turned out that about 1/2 of the songs were never even used in the movie.

Which is something else that nags me about soundtracks- why even put a track in there if it's not used in the movie?

KalEl1029

That's one of the biggest questions, I think. If the song has no time in the film, why waste pointless space on it? Makes zero sense.

nor is this either the request board.. and the score is apparently not "in the works" anyway.... http://theknightshift.blogspot.com/2007/07/sony-music-no-immediate-plans-to.html

oh that sux...

WHY is the question? I can see them not releasing Spiderman 3 because of the copyright issues and diff composers, but this is one composer's credit...aint it?

Sony's probobly just holding out til the sales on the reg soundtrack go kaput...you know - keep people buying it, even if it aint what they want. You know how it is - business.

Pirates of The Caribbean (first one) score was credited to Klaus Badelt, however people like Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, etc did help out.. Everyone who works at Remote Control Productions helps eachother out most of the time when they score things I'd imagine. As its been known to happen before... Christopher Youngs Spiderman 3 score is afaik just himself, but alot of the cues sound just like Ghostrider. The Theme from Ghostrider and Spiderman 3 are very similar in some ways. And there is a Spiderman3 score out somewhere. I found it on Soulseek, but I neglected to download. I just got the theme to compare the two (Ghostrider, Spiderman 3).

And to address random whats-playing-on-MTV fad cd's named soundtracks: Its music "inspired by" or used in some short form in the movie. As an example, the end credits song by emo-band Linkin Park, and maybe one or two of the other soundtrack songs were played in the background on a radio, and maybe one of the songs is just the stunt coordinators favorite song? I dont know. Except for songs used at end credits, it makes absolutely no sense.

..and the Mutemouth cover......

shudder.... Why...? Another light lunged, almost desperate sounding song sung by another band of whining/wailing musicians?

Steve Jablonsky. Had you read the link I posted earlier you would have known that ;)

Its a shame that film scores are not really noticed especially if it a good one like transformers. What are sony tryign to cater to the emo crowed or something?

That's lame about no concrete release. Ugh. I can't stand when a great score like Steve's is pushed aside for the album release. But the link that pchen80 posted does give me a bit of hope, as that means there is perhaps something like a composer's promo out there somewhere. A leak seems to be the only solution at the moment.

TBH that looks like some guy named John just made it up. The cover isnt real, its a screen of bumblebee from Transformers the Game, and its got some kind of logo for this John in the lower righthand corner.

I thought he only composes for the game.

I thought he only composes for the game.

He composed both the game and the movie. But his game score is radically different from the film from what I can tell. None of the themes, like the Autobot theme or the Decepticon theme, were carried over it seems.

I'm a collector of scores for movies I love; if I don't have it on CD, it is in my iTunes. LOL. I was really upset when I found out the soundtrack that is out wasn't the score for the movie. It is a shame, because the score was beautiful and I would never get tired of listening to it. :(

I'm glad we finally know something. The soundtrack pales in comparison to the score, but then, Linkin Park doesn't stand up well to much in my opinion.

Man I hadn't seen the film when you guys were originally going on about this but I've seen it now and my god I am so thrilled about a proper score instead of that lame ass "Here's some emo tunes and a slight chance of some of the score" album they released. Seriously why bother with that they should make it a two disc release like the did with Matrix Reloaded. Disc 2 the Score and Disc 1 the Album that way you get both if you want both . . .
