Tobi Tsukihime OST (PC Doujin) game rips.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1U2RAU15 <--- corrected file (9 may 2007)
http://www.filefactory.com/file/e8f869/ <--- alternative
http://www.filefactory.com/file/f32aa7/ <--- Sliat's rework

http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/8393/tobiartcustomsk1.gif

A Great 2005 Horizontal Danmaku (manic shooter like "ProGear no Arashi") by the "01step" Team. Pretty design with a flying sorcerer like "Cotton", the gameplay is enough originally. i think it never realease before.

i made it as official OST are, like i use to do

this OST is a "on the fly" (direct when game is playing) rip by myself, ripped with Wavepad
with tracks name + ending screen/in game screen (to have an idea about the game)

Tracklisting
01 - Nightmare (Stage 1)
02 - Enraged (Boss)
03 - Stage Clear
04 - Rampage! (Stage 2)
05 - Magical Amber (Stage 3)
06 - Assault! (Stage 4)
07 - amVirus Avatar of Nightmare (Stage 5)
08 - Deep Green Jade (Final Boss)
09 - Realized (Ending)

so, i hope you'll enjoy it!

Wow! This soundtrack kicks some major ass! Never gave the game a try, but the music kicks ass. But you said that you've got the track names, all that's there is "Stage 1" ect... However, I did find the real names, if it's of interest.
1)Nightmare
2)Enraged
3)Stage Clear
4)Rampage!
5)Magical Amber
6)Assault!
7)Deep Green Jade
8)amVirus:Avatar of Nightmare
9)Realized

Incidentally, on the real OST, there are remixes. I don't suppose they exist in the game (why would they, right?), so do you or anyone have any of the remixes?

Simon B

hoo! what a surprise!

thanks a lot sliat, no i don't have neither ost than remix...

that's why i "home" made this game's ost :)

i check to put the new tracks infos & re~upload it :D

(i definitively love this community)

ok, let's Rock!

i add a little "flash" video preview of the game + some in-game screenshot to show what's look like

& rename all the track of course (i had repair my mistake to put the final stage after final boss... )

;)

I just noticed this: at the 3:18 point of "Stage 2", there's a Windows Ding sound. I don't really mind, as I'm in the process of editting it, but for anyone else ... well, it's out there.

Simon B

waow, thank a lot to help me to make a perfect ost.

i cut 2 seconds at the end of this "stage 2" (bip 3.18, track time 3.20)

repaired! :) & re-uploaded

i hope i didn't done others mistakes.

Well, I finished my own edits and everything sounds great, and I also played through to see if I could find missing tracks. Well, unless I'm mistaken, this is as close to perfect as it's going to get. Good job.

thank you, Sliat. not an easy work (but you know that :) )

find the remixed tracks will be more appreciated! :D

Incidentally, for everyone's information, this is where I got the information for the track titles and how I know there are remixes. Although I'm not sure what the other tracks are, as I've not heard them during the game. Anyways ...

ok, cool

so there is 2 "arranged tracks"

Tr.12: - MAGICAL AMBER - Arranged by Yousuke Yasui
Tr.13: - Nightmare - Arranged by Shinji Hosoe

me, i've listed 9 tracks (9/13 = 4 miss, [2 unknow & 2 arranged])
i have an idea to others,
- miss1 - i've seen "stage clear" & "all clear" but my "clear" music rip provide from the rip track before the end & (i think) it might be the "all clear" music, i'll verify it
- miss2 - is the "Tr.07: amVirus Engage" & think it's the "warning before boss" already contained in my "Boss" & "Stage 5" tracks

Sliat

Hell, I found an even better resource that also tells how long the track length are. http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=ODZR-0001 "Stage Clear" is :14 and "All Clear" is :19 , so since your rip is :13, I'd say you did "Stage Clear", and actually, since that's also what plays after the first boss, then it's "All Clear" that's missing ... along with amVirus Engage (0:57).

Absolutely love this soundtrack. It's so great. I've been listening to it all day.

Sliat

"Stage Clear" is :14 and "All Clear" is :19 , so since your rip is :13, I'd say you did "Stage Clear"

Nope, my mistake. I didn't really pay much attention, but the track in question is actually "All Clear" and NOT "Stage Clear". I figured I'd do my own recording of "All Clear" only to realize that it's the same track you've provided, however I recorded the "Stage Clear" track from Stage 1, and that's the one that's missing.

The reason I said the :13 rip MUST be "Stage Clear" was based on length, not taking into account that CD songs always have a couple of seconds of dead air at the end (and sometimes the beginning), so that means the length of :19 makes sense if you add the silence.

I finally got around to listening to this soundtrack, and... wow. Easily one of the better soundtracks that I've heard to a game. Thanks for ripping these and posting them here. You've made my day.

thanks sliat for all your info & help!

Eternalslumber : yep! this music is just unbelievable!
you should have a look to the NEC CD - HELLFIRE S OST & the ZERO WING OST

Any hope of this great soundtrack uploaded in some other file-hosting site, maybe Mediafire or Rapidshare?

Sliat
11-30-2007, 11:11 AM
lol, I'm all over the place for you today, aren't I? Anyways, if you're cool with FileFactory, then it's no problem. The problem with Mediafire is that it's deleting stuff as of late.

I should also mention that the soundtrack may sound a bit different, as I've made modifications, but you'll still like it anyways. Expect it soon.

Thanks! Downloading it now. :)

edit: What modifications have you done? I'm just curious.

Sliat
11-30-2007, 07:39 PM
Well, in Simon's rip, he left in the "warning" sound effects for the boss stages. I've removed those (I also removed the wind effect before the final boss music). Also, I triple looped the music (instead of standard double loops). Essentilly, though, it's still Simon's rip ... just tweaked.

Simon B

if HoTsHoT still want it & if you upload it, i put the link in the first post Sliat

Sliat

or, he could still download your version and I could add my edits. whatever works.

HoTsHoT
12-01-2007, 11:38 AM
It's alright Sliat, if in any case I would need the siren and wind sounds off I could just make a simple edit myself.

Reuploading another version would take a serious toll off your bandwidth :)

Sliat
12-01-2007, 11:18 PM
For the record, I wouldn't offer if it was a drain on my bandwidth. It's more of a time issue, and work has really been putting the hammer down as of late, so it's really the only factor. As for what I did to get rid of the sirens, all I did was run the game and record the first part of the tune (in the second playback, as the tracks do fade and restart), then did a copy/paste in a wave editor, and voila! New music. heh heh The wind was easy, just spliced off the wind in a wave editor.

I'm glad this thread wasn't 6 weeks old and burried. THANK YOU SIMON! I absolutely love this soundtrack. By any chance would you know of any of Jun A's other works?

I've got to ask you, why do you say "Jun A"? The music is by "Masashi Yano", so am I missing something (I ask because I too simply love this album to death).

Twas the name in the ID3 tag. Just going on what I knew.

Sliat
12-02-2007, 11:48 AM
I see. Well, what I can tell you is that Yano has other smaller projects and joint works, but one of his other bigger projects is Tobi D+Vine which is already on GH. You can feel very slight similarities in the works.

I think there's a mistake here Sliat, your recently reuploaded copy of Tobi Tsukihime soundtrack is actually Tsukihime no Shiro in the FileFactory download.

Sliat
12-02-2007, 07:15 PM
No, I haven't reuploaded Tobi Tsukihime. Simon did. I only reuploaded Tsukihime No Shiro. Simon and I had discussed that possibility, but he already went ahead with it.

EDIT: Okay, I see the problem here. It's all just a misunderstanding. Simon, I haven't uploaded it yet. The link I left in your shmup thread was for TnS, not Tobi Tsukihime. I'll do that rework soon though.

There. Here's my edit of what Simon already provided. Triple looped, dropped sound effects, and slightly different end fading, but essentially still the exact same thing. Try it if you like.

Good news for you, I will have a huge bonus on April, with that fund I can grab SRIN-1016~7 | ToBi D+VINE Complete Sound track - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/1941) which is currently super over priced. (around $80+ just for single CD X__x)
