Nice Compilations, You try to incorporate some Akira Yamaoka Tracks too, they're are some that are very Relaxing. (And another Definate Relax track would be "My Little Baby" from the 1st Bare Knuckle/Streets of Rage OST)

Hello!
Big fan of your compilation!
noticed your selection are from more of the recent games, so thought Id put in my 2cents in for the older ones!

I bet there are more, but here's some right off the bat...

"Natsukage" from Air Original Soundtrack
"Dance with Merle" from Okage
"Fly to the Heavens" from DQ3/DQ8 (DQ8 is the arrange ver of DQ3)
"Lost..." from Xenogears
"Yume no Ato" from Kanon OST

Seiken_Densetsu_~_Let_Thoughts_Ride_on_Knowledge
this is a really great album (though the subtitle is translated wrong, thats OK)
Id even recommend buying it for the sound quality but thats OK.
Just that one track is really long, so it might not suite your compilation.

Chrono Trigger/ older Final Fantasy series have LOTS of relaxing music too ^_^
I think the FF4 arrange CD was a celtic arrange, and was pretty nice.
Chrono Trigger has couple of famous ones like Time Corridor and cant remember the title but the BGM in the medival time.

Also, this is a non-game OST, but try checking out the Mushishi OSTs.
its great IMO

I can let you guys know that I'm far from finished. I've got lots and lots of music left that's fitting for the RGM. Too bad the amount of DL's halves with each part...

The true reason I make these compilations though is for everyone to enjoy them. I knew that a lot of this music is unknown and it would have been such a shame to miss out on all these great songs.

Part 5 is coming up in one of the following weeks. Trust me when I say it will be worth the wait :)

Hey Stabby great job man. I was wondering if you can make collection that has the Warrior type "Let's Go!" music. i love the orch stuff prime example is "Ryoshima Plains II" From the Okami OST that has to be my favorite Song from that game. I wouldnt know what title to give a complation like that but I'd love to have one. I could do it myself but I have waaaay to many song i know like that. Oh and here is a Good relaxin song for you next RGM "Athentic Sky" from Tekken 5 (think thats the name) Lookin forward to what ever you come up with bro. Peace

Hows RGM Vol 6 progressing? Can't wait for an update. :)

By the way, your compilations have inspired me to maybe try to make my own. I was thinking of making a "Video Game Jingles" collection; a series of short, catchy themes from various games. If it turns out any good, I'll make a thread for it.

Great compilations stabby
I also have my own playlist of relaxing music and I've wanted to expand it for a long time now. Mine's a mix of video game music and anime music and most of it are orchestral. Good thing I saw this thread.
Most of my songs are from Chrono Trigger, FF, and Escaflowne.
Chrono Trigger has an awesome orchestral album
it's not all 32-bit, 64-bit lol.
Great job!

Maybe you could make a compilation on anime too?
That would be niiiice.

Some recommendations are
Fisherman's Horizon - FF8 - Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec
Blue Fields - FF8 - Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec
To Zanarkand - Orchestral version - [Orchestral compilation of FF songs, I forget the name it has FF7 songs too]
Crono-Marle theme - Chrono Trigger - Orchestral version
To Faraway Times - Chrono Trigger - Orchestral version
Kingdom Hearts 2 - Lazy Afternoons
Okami - Reset - Orchestral version

mugenj: If I have the time, I just might make a Let's go, Warrior type compilation, like songs that get you pumped up or something. Or is that gonna be like your Epic Compilation stabby? lol Can't wait.

I just wanted to say that your soundtract compilations are excellent. I have the habit of making my own soundtracts as well because I usually don't like all the songs in OST's out there. Needless to say, it's pretty unusual for me to enjoy all the songs in any particular soundtracts, but I'm liking all of yours. :)

Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!

PS. I'm having exams soon as well, good luck to both of us. ;)

laguu11
10-04-2007, 08:25 PM
Well, personally when I use rapidshare I am able to download 1 album and then I'll have to wait 2 hours or so before I can download the next one. It makes it a bit difficult when everyone is sharing with rapidshare as it takes me a long long while before I even finish downloading what one person is sharing. One of my friends actually has never been able to download anything from rapidshare, not sure why.

I found downloading from Mediafire to be really easy and quick. Never had any limit problem with it as well. Granted I've never uploaded anything huge onto the web for download before so I don't know if this is easy to use for someone uploading. For what it's worth, here it is:

As long as there's at least 1 download every 40 days the files will never go dead. Another reason why I prefer Rapidshare, most download links from Megaupload and other providers seem to go down after a couple of months.

edit: it's been almost 40 days for the Final Fantasy Artwork compilation. If someone could please download it, then it won't die. Thx.

Hey Stabby! Just wanted to thank you for all your effort. : ) Really paid off, I love your comps. I threw together some album art for the first volume and thought I'd share; because I'm anal about album art. If you guys like it I'd be happy to make some more. Peace!

You know what, I think I'll make another compilation, the epic one. Won't make a piano compilation though, it would mostly be Final Fantasy anyway.

edit: maybe I'll make something different. I've been thinking about making a compilation called "Feel the rush!". Perhaps I'll make both.

Also think it might be time for relaxing volume 7 if I find enough material.

Guys, I just wanted to point out that Final Fantasy VII Philharmonic Suite has been made by a fellow member of this forum, frequent contributor in my Orchestral thread, and creator of the Classical thread: streichorchester.

Hope you enjoy his beautiful music.

Thanks Stabby :) there are great tracks here. Some are very familiar, from some of my favourite albums, and other's are ones i would never have gotten to hear without your compilations. A good sampler for games and composers i'd not heard of before.

For people interested in listening in much more music by streichorchester like the Final Fantasy VII Philharmonic Suite, just look there in my Orchestral thread:

It's great to see you back, Stabby. Thank you for the 7th comp. and Feel the Rush! imo, SHININ' from the 6th compilation is my favorite. (I <3 Lumines) I've found a lot of really good albums from sampling your collections, Phoenix Wright, Sailing to the World, and Okami, to name a few.

Oh, and get SkipScreen for Firefox, if you don't use it already! I hope you find that helpful. : ]

How are you liking my first epic compilation?

Ranged Weapon

It's EPIC :)
Richard Jacques Headhunter tracks are genius. It's such a pity that the games didn't sell so well, as both games were amazing.

Hearing the Kameo score a few years back made me go out and buy a 360 so I could play the game, so good tunes there, but another poor seller?

Shenmue - an epic score for an epic game. Why is it that so many of these games with such amazing music just don't sell very well?

I'll look out for some of the others, like the Kingdom Hearts scores.
