JFTR, I haven't played DoC, but from what I hear, it sucks. Friend at work is a serious FFVII fanboy, and he was so excited to start playing DoC--he wouldn't shut up about it. However, when he finally started playing, he never really said a word about it again. That fact speaks volumes to me, as we do talk just about every night.

Unfortunately, your assessment is accurate. FFVII: DoC was horrible... Just check out the posts on it here (Thread 30346) or read a review at GameFAQs.

It's kind of depressing that Square-Enix is alright about letting this kind of thing on shelves...

It was kind of hilarious that there was a group of FFVII fanboys, who also wouldn't shut-up about the game before and after they played it, that would not admit that it was a horrible game. It was only after I asked them what made it so great that they shut up.

Since when was The Master banned? AFAIK, he didn't do anything that would warrant a ban.

It looks like he might be serious. No game is ever going to be perfect, as perfect gameplay is unobtainable.

Dirge of Cerberus is subpar at best. The game has more issues then Paris Hilton. The gameplay seems to be lacking in almost every aspect. The camera has issues, and while it's not debilitating it's a nuisance. The targeting system is nothing to behold, and the overall element of combat can best be compared to Devil May Cry gone horribly wrong. The plots and twists are predictable, and unless you absolutely MUST know everything Final Fantasy VII then it's safe to pass then one up.

If there are people who must know absolutely everything about this sad franchise, then wouldn't it be better to read the shit from a children's book? It'd save time and money while yielding the same result.

I didn't mind it truth be told. I mean sure it wasn't the best ever but I don't think it was the worst either. It is different from the normal FF series which I think is part of the problem I why so many people down it. It could have been done better as previous mentioned the Leveling up as well as the controls but they did some good things like the Custominzation that you could do for the guns.

Once again not the best but not the worst either that titles still goes to Legend of Legia II in my books.

I was actually pretty disappointed with the game. It should have been longer, more levels, more bosses and more characters available to use. The shooting was fantastic and the story was great. Square could of done better but still pretty good.
