Since magic and physical attacks hardly do any damage, it's best to use your limit breaks on him. Repeat process.

summon bahamut at the start... the rest should be easy

lol it kills aeris wit 1 hit and others hav bout 200hp, than he attacks them and kills em :(
looks like i will start game again and train more....

The only place you can level up after defeating 'Red Dragon' is in the same place. These enemies called Ark Dragons I think,
which are the best to level up on. If you have the enemy skill Laser, use it because it kills one in one turn.

I had problems with him too, but first off follow enya's tips, they work.
Do summons till u run out of mp, have one heal every turn and the other use phsical attacks. Keep ur hp up and u should do fine..........wait, what level r ur players?

btw how to learn enemy skills???

To learn enemy skills, you need the materia 'Enemy Skill'. Four of them exist, all of which can only be found and not bought. Then, you need the enemy to cast that specific move onto the player and then it will be learned and stored on that materia. You can Manipulate some enemies into casting those moves on you and your party, but not all enemies you can control. Did you pick up the one in the Shinra Building after you kill the boss in the lift?

To learn enemy skills put the Enemy Skill materia on someone, and when an enemy casts a spell that you can learn and it hits the character with the enemy skill materia, they'll learn it. There's a detailed guide about all the enemy skills and how to get them, Here (Thread 8683)

Demon Gate is a lot easier if you level Aeris to her 4th limit first.

I thought Demon gate was hard to O_o
but I beat it in the end^^,

I have a tactic that i used many times against Demons Gate. Equip Cloud with Yoshiyuki (or whatever its called) It's damage multiplies with each dead ally. And if the Limit Gauge is full, use Meteorain. It took the Gate out in an instant for me. That's all.

As long as your health is around 1400+ hes not too bad.

Just a thought but demon = undead, weak against healing spells? Usually in the FF series anything named Demon is vulnerable to X-Potion.

i beat him recently on a casual speedrun (i got to demons gate there in about 7 hours or so)

cloud barret and aeris were on about level 26 or so and had around 900+ hp.

but i beat him the way i always do, cure, limit break and summon.

Subject closed? Lol must agree, a real pain... Just use the Nail Bat to kick ass xD

Geez, how long were you playing to reach level 40 by disc 1, I usually nail the game on level 55?

For all stuck on Demon Gate, I have a tip.
Somewhere (2 areas behind I think) there is a save point and a pool next to it which lets you heal. Train here, and you will be fine.
