This is it.
A complete collection of absolutely every song to have ever appeared in all Super Smash Bros. games. Every song that did not return for Ultimate has been fully integrated into this massive set of extensively-tagged 1,162 tracks! OVER 56 HOURS!

Totalled at 33 Volumes, all series have been neatly packed into 33 individual folders and each have their own set of uniquely crafted cover art! (https://imgur.com/a/bVmeJ56) You will know when a song is a brand new remix when you spot the little hot-pink tab in the top-right corner!
The artwork was designed to reflect the style of the character pages on the official website, colours are accurately colour-picked and the exact fonts used.

Everything has been freshly re-ripped with now 1:1 decoding, using up-to-date tools

It turns out my previous rip of Ultimate, like every other rip still doing the rounds on the net, used a tool that wasn't quite ready to decode the format that SSBU used for audio - this resulted in countless audio issues like random blips, horribly compressed upper frequencies, moments of scratchy audio and general spectral inaccuracies.

Carefully, track-by-track, overall high-frequency clarity and tightness of bass frequencies have been significantly improved.

All of Ultimate's audio was encoded awfully, by Audiophile standards that is; it's muddy, dull and with a severe lack of clarity - so I've put my 10 years of audio engineering to the test with subtle, but effective, excitation/saturation of higher frequencies that are commonly associated with 'Presence' or 'Clarity' to synthesise lost frequencies. Bass frequencies have also been 'de-muddied' with extremely specific, light and narrow EQ then 'rounded' with a dash of low-end saturation. (Not to be confused with distortion, which is nasty in this context)

My approach here is to provide the cleanest, clearest version of all the music ever delivered by the series without altering the intended tone of the source material. My changes to the audio have been consciously kept from sounding too harsh or boomy and I've extensively tested the quality through several mediums to ensure consistency; basic headphones, studio monitors, car stereo and desk speakers.

All returning songs from previous Smash games have had their audio replaced (where possible) in a 1:1 fashion with significantly higher quality rips and soundtracks.

ALL THE ANNOUNCERS!

Opening theme alternates for each Smash game with a clip of their respective announcers (except for Brawl) yelling the title have been included!

By popular demand, everything has been sorted and tagged in line with the Sound Test mode from SSBU. Mario Kart even has its own folder!
Lastly, a common request, songs that have a defined ending no longer loop.

I saw a post here linking to your reddit thread earlier today, and I have to say I am extremely impressed.

Sound quality sounds good from an initial check and flipping through the folders, the only tracks I found were missing would be the versions of Main Theme/Brinstar (from Metroid, called a Brawl remix, but it's from Metroid Prime Pinball), and Opening - Menu (from Metroid Prime) that were both used in Subspace Emissary and therefore don't have the narration vocals (and are more like the versions from their original games).

Your organization skills are admirable.

You are correct with that there are more tracks now! I've fixed that, there will be 1,142 once I add that missing Melee Figurine track. That's over 56 hours of music!

This is incredible work, thanks for your efforts! The attention to detail with the individual tagging is amazing.

The only thing I could want added are announcer clips. Not quite music, but it'd be great to see how the announcer has changed over the years. Otherwise, this is fantastic, thank you!

That's simply the Brawl opening and Credits theme played in sequence, there's no specific file for that whole thing - however you've just pointed out to me that the Brawl credits song I have in fact loops when it shouldn't, as it ha a defined ending! Final patch coming up!

I want to spot a little detail here. "Crimean Army Sortie" got some serious edition (the same as DK Rap) in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The complete theme can be found in Brawl's soundtrack, but in Wii U and Ultimate, it's incomplete and edited. Can you also include the complete version, as you did with DK Rap, in the final patch

Thanks for your work! I have a couple of questions. Does this include unused tracks from previous games? I distinctly remember Smash 4 having some unused fanfares, not sure about previous games but it might be the case too. And how did you tag the tracks that are not present in Ultimate's sound test? Do they have an official name or did you just named them yourself with what you thought was better?

Also, I noticed a small tagging error and a "missing" track:

1. The track "Bein' Friend" from Mother is now called "Bein' Friends", it got patched in the latest Ultimate update.
2. In Brawl's SSE, there's a cutscene where a Luigi's Mansion remix plays that I've never been able to find clean. It's right here at the beginning of the video: https://youtu.be/x5qAjP3aMfA Do you happen to know how to get this track (or is it already included and I just missed it)?

Fuck everything.
It takes a whole day and night to re-zip and upload all the sets and I've done this 6 times in the past 2 weeks!

It was the last two tracks of the Xenoblade Chronicles volume - I detailed that in the noticed of the main post. Latest patch is up though! However there's now another quick one coming due to an actual tagging change in SSBU itself.

v1.5 on Reddit is the same as v1.2 here. v1.3 (v1.6 on Reddit) is the latest patch.

If you got v1.4, you need all the patches following it; v1.5, v1.6 and v1.7

Yeah I anticipated some confusion, that's why I included the details in the changelog: v1.6 (1.2)
It was unavoidable though due to the staggered release I did unfortunately.

If there are more errors found, I may just jump up to v2.0 for everybody!

Yep thanks for answering. I was just asking because patch1.5 is almost halfway again to original 1.4 so, dont know if i will have to wait until Joker releases to re download again hehe

Yes it does include unused audio from previous games.
I tagged songs that are not present in Ultimate with the data provided in past games (Like Wii U/3DS).

Well in that case, it doesn't loop because it has a very defined ending ;)

I'll never understand why The Big N got lazier and lazier with looping songs when it came to Smash 4 and Ultimate. They didn't even bother, they just slipped an End-to-Start and called it a day.

I mean, yeah, 900 files, but that's not an excuse to just not loop some of them, is it?

Eh, rambling. Thanks for all of this - I'll keep an eye on this thread with each new DLC release.

If I may make a request? It'd be quite a bit of extra work, so I'd understand if you didn't want to. I noticed album art variations with the N64 character art on it. It'd be great if there were also variations for each character with the renders from Melee, Brawl, and For 3DS/Wii U. It would help complete the image of an Anthology.
As far as I'm concerned, that's the only thing "missing" from this.

Track 55 has a "." and a space too much.


And I have maybe a suggestion for the next update you'll make, you could maybe add a small (R) or [R] in the beginning of the name of a remixed track so that it's easy to tell which tracks are remixes and which ones are originals, which would help to differentiate directly double name tracks from the window track list without having to play the track first.

For accuracy sake here's the name of all the Victory Jingles for when you use a specific Persona series track, and win with Joker. These track names are from the "English" tracklist on VGMdb. More information can be found there.

Just needed to mention a few concerns:

1) Vol 21, tracks 10 and 11 are missing their track and disc numbers

2) The original Persona 5 tracks (Vol 33, tracks 1, 3, 4, 5) should NOT be looped, as they were taken straight from the P5 OST. As they are ripped now, each of those tracks feel very long. The other Persona tracks are ripped properly.

Again, thank you for ripping all these soundtracks!

Do you know which songs in SSBU have been added post-release? The track list is huge so I just want to listen to the songs I haven't already listened to, but it's hard to tell which ones they are. (Except the Persona ones, obviously.)

Here are another couple of tracks whose tags need a little update. They are from the Fire Emblem album, Vol. 13, tracks 38 and 39

Track 38:
- Title should be changed from "Lost in Thoughts Alone (JP)" to its actual track name in Japan, "if ~Hitori Omou~"
- Artist should be changed to "Renka", the singer of the track

Track 39:
- Artist should be changed to "Rena Strober", the singer of the track.

In Vol. 21 there are no CD numbers on tracks 10 & 11

But still, thanks a lot for such a huge work

I will wait until all the DLC is done and all the small errors are sorted out, but dang, I'm really looking forward to replace all my separate albums with this consistent and improved behemoth :o

I think the only ones that have been added are from persona. The only changes to music have been to titles since they had typos

One thing I've noticed is that the covers folder for the Pikmin series appears to be missing. Same with the Nintendo and Friends series and the Fire Emblem series.
