Well, since this was already posted, i figured i might as well post my copy that i recently finished...

If this wasn't posted, it was going to be my christmas gift to all of you.... but, since it's posted, Interstellar has been put on minor delay(due to a film getting back to me).

Here you all go! 65 tracks, and it "should" be complete.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (Complete, 65 Tracks) by Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, and VA

There seems to be some SFX in Chess sadly

But it is nice to have a clean Die Forelle track
time to mix it with the Torture track

I honestly didn't even notice that the chess match wasn't in the sessions...LOL Whoops! I wonder why they weren't in the sessions along with "Little Red Book" And the film version of "Two Mules" ...Interesting.

“Some” and it’s probably at the beginning I take it?

Aye, just for a few seconds (laughter mostly)
bizarrely your separate download version has the proper intro now (with the ticking removed from the second drum segment)
I almost wondered if this was just an edit from the album suite, but that wouldnt explain the SFX

It’s called audio cleansing..... it works like a charm. :)

Prince Jay

I just realized my mistakes......

A. It’s “Shush Club” and not “Shush Club Tango”
And B. I guess I don’t know about SC3

Thank you so much Jay for sharing your version of Sherlock 2 sessions!!! Just out of curiosity, is the audio quality of your set different from the version posted by Piggly Wiggly (like silences edited out or enhancing sound quality/volume levels)? Thanks again and take care.

Prince Jay

Yep.... even though it’s mp3, it’s a complete version of this

The audio quality is a bit different, enhanced audio, etc

Here's a better version of "Chess Match" if anyone's interested.

Link (https://mega.nz/#!6cFExAYT!DAfjtY6bXl1q7A4PxglVrWc3fLlx1vVcqf16no6Rfj4)
(fyi - the ticking clock isn't from the album itself. i extracted the ticking sound from the original piece, used a virtual instrument to produce the sound, lowered the bpm, and bam... magic hit)

I'm unable to extract the .rar file, it says something about the file type not being supported. I'm on a Mac. Help? Never had this problem before. I tried redownloading the .rar twice and it always happens.

Prince Jay

Does it have rar at the end of it?

If so, try another extraction program

Link to the film version of 7m45 Little Red Book that I patched together using the base version and the alt insert that Piggly provided in the original leak: https://mega.nz/#!IF4kSQKR!fbxG4CL2gx_dE4eBztjv_2azc4wgAujY5S14yNH8k1c

Obviously it should go without saying that this is lossy and I just exported to FLAC to preserve what was there.

Thanks again to Prince Jay for this set! :)

Always upconvert the original files to FLAC (or a lossless format of thine choice) first. Then, edit in said lossless format and export in that format. I did that once. And only once. Now any time I need to edit and the only availability is MP3, I convert to lossless first.

wat... you'd just be upconverting twice. The file is still lossy - that doesn't improve things.

DAKoftheOTA

Best to edit in lossless than MP3. Even if it's lossy sourced. There's no upconverting twice. Once you upconvert once, that's it. Exporting it in lossless once it's been upconverted to lossless doesn't make it upconverted again. At least that's what I've always been told and explained to. And it makes sense.

The only thing youre really doing is changing the container format. Not upconverting. So editing in FLAC or WAV or ALAC or MP3 doesnt matter, whether you convert it first or not, the end product should always be in a lossless contrainer anyways. But if you want to get technical, do what SonicAdventure does, convert it to a high sample rate like 96 or 192 kHz first, it provides a lot of headroom for editing and mastering.

---------- Post added at 08:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:20 PM ----------

As soon as you import it into Audacity or Auditon or wherever it will automatically import as a 32-bit or 64-bit floating point anyways......

DAKoftheOTA
11-08-2018, 03:54 AM
Yup Audition automatically does that for me. It took me several times to remember to always export it at the original bit depth and not 32.

Well yeah, that's what I meant. Maybe upconverting is the wrong word but my point is that you should export to a lossless format. What you start with won't improve things.
