I've had one of my posts reported and deleted on me twice in the last two weeks.

One of my threads, back to the Future 30th Anniversary, which required PM only, has disappeared entirely: Thread 198103

Notice the message: Invalid thread.

I don't know what I did. I tried to follow the "rules"... which is strange regarding a place we ALL share illegal material.

At a loss...

Probably the same pigfucker that deletes all the Mega links in this forum and took down all of Sonic Adventure's links (when they were public).

...or maybe it contained Varese Material (like Back to the Future Part 3) or 20th Century Fox stuff...which is no longer allowed

The fine folks who produce & release this fine music we share here, 1) know this is the main sharing site, and B) have sworn to end this site. Besides legal efforts, they have now obviously joined under aliases and get great glee reporting and shutting down all the links and threads they can. Brilliant strategy really, and a wonder why they took so long to adapt the effective tactic. We just have to make links private, make sure we don't share what the administrators have termed forbidden, and get links quickly, "while they last," as this phenomenon is not likely to change, and will just get worse.

Bri-Bri, you are probably right that does make sense for them to do that.

Wrong section, dumbass. "Any questions relating to the forums or site" go here (http://forums.ffshrine.org/forumdisplay.php?f=7). From what I gather, this is not necessarily an issue with links being reported; this may instead an issue wherein a moderator thought that you posted forbidden content (Thread 49829). Threads don't disappear without their involvement. I don't know much of anything about Back to the Future music rights, but I'm going to take a guess that Varese has some hand in it (Part III at least) and that's why your thread was deleted. I don't know for certain though. Take the issue up in the questions section where this thread is supposed to be.

this is why rules need to be singled out and stickied.
the community doesn't know how to read but definitely knows how to bitch.

Even then they still wouldn't read and ignore the fuck out of them.
